Re: Deck Plan

Just a heads up that some time around 1st November, I will be moving house.

This will, unfortunately result in a disruption to my internet service for two weeks (three at the outside *gibber*) following that date.

I may be able to log in occasionally during that time, if I can get some computer access at work, but at most I'll be able to say "Hi." in the OOC thread.

Re: Deck Plan

If I seem quiet in a few weeks time it will be because I am, so in order to cover for that to some extent;  "Hi."

Re: Deck Plan

No worries! :)  Good luck with the move....

Apologies, Mr. Tescali.  I wasn't clear enough - when Shui goes on the intercom or radio, ++ I use this kind of notation. ++

But it could very well have been simultaneously transmitted via text to the bridge, as it's best not to interrupt the pilot while he's working.  So everything is fine!

Re: Deck Plan

As Yas rightly said Selacci is the name for a family of fossilized sharks -  but is also the name of one of the noble families from Terry Pratchett's Disc World series ...  so I played with letters a bit, I never did like the way that Ankh-Morpork was spelled  :)

Whether our Selaccis are related to that family, or whether the particular family referenced by Tylen actually exists or not is, of course, the GMs call  :P

Hee hee hee.  And here I thought I missed something and our friendly GM was making another one of his oblique references.

Like 'Officer Murphy' in the 2020 game.

Re: Deck Plan

Okay, I'm now in full house-move mode, which means that there won't be another IC post until I'm settled in to the new apartment, and have internet access again.

Kick back, relax, enjoy the excellent refreshments provided by Shui.

See you all soon.

Progress Report:

House move going moderately well, if a little hectic and exhausting (unless you're one of the cats - in which case it's dead easy, and exciting too).

Further reports soon.

I think I have everyone's proper position, but if I got anything wrong, please let me know.

SHUI certainly wouldn't have made a mistake there.

Re: Deck Plan

I believe their name is Selacci, though it might be pronounced Selachii (sharks; rays; dogfishes; skates or fossils thereof).  ;)

Thank you, Yasmine.  Amusingly, I was using your own spelling of the name as my template, so you might want to do an edit...  ^_^

Nope, but mean the same thing as the others, essentially.  :)

Ki being pronounced very differently from ch'i, chi, qi, I figured your point was with the meaning, not with how they sound.  :)

Wow, good thing, Shui is a doctor.  Hmmm, or is that a bad thing, since doctor's often make the worst patients?
