"No, I can't see the elevators. Are you... oh, wait, there they are! Tricky to spot from this angle. No wonder we missed them." Marita Doyle sounds very relieved, at least for a moment, and then, "Selnia! Put that down, this instant!"
Her attention comes back to Ash, "One level down, then follow the numbers back along. Thank you. Boarding should be no problem, but you might want to warn your people to have a couple of sturdy cages and some groat prods handy. We'll be there shortly."
Yas accepts the cocoa from Tylen, with a grateful smile, and claims some of the sandwiches. She opens one up, and peers at the contents, "Looks okay. You gotta watch Sushi - I've noticed her trying to slip healthy food into the snacks sometimes. Nothing that a few minutes frying won't fix, but it's the start of a slippery slope."
Corlan slumps a little, then straightens up again, now looking directly at Shui, "I will be happy to talk to you about this morning's events, and any other topic you might wish to discuss, Miss Tiesi. But, as I said; not right now. I'm feeling extremely tired and in need of a short rest. I was going to take a brief nap, recording the departure in case I sleep through it."
"After I have had a rest, and the opportunity to set my thoughts in order, then we can talk, by all means, for as long as you like."
Jago circles the ship, continuing his interrupted inspection. It's a complicated task. The hull looks smooth and unbroken, even from a short distance, but close up there are hundreds of small pits in the surface - sensor windows, thermal emission vents, emergency induction ports, openings for comms antennae, maintenance access panels, fuel line connections...
Saskia could probably tell the Captain exactly what each of them is for. The most important thing about the holes, though, is that none of them appear to have ragged edges, or show other indications of being a result of damage.
Saskia, herself, is in Engineering again. Last minute checks and preflight adjustments are important...
