Hi, I am likely party's muscle bound tank :). As tip to those who are making chars, I would suggest that you create fmeale drow cleric of Lolth, you get immeadly a pet Draegloth :D. As those who wonder, I am using the class variant of Draegloth race, so I do not have PC class levels at all (but then again, when Draegloth ahd needed such)?

Ah, good. Tell any player who is planning to play either cleric or female drow that there is very willing draegloth pet who is available to any cleric or otherwise high ranked in Lolth church hierarchy member :).

OOC: Great! Anycase as OOC note Mezreth is outside form House Banere, he coould be called rogue Draegloth but he can be bound to House Baenre at moment as member of the house. Anycase Mezreth fights unarmed, prefering his naturall weapons at moment but unlike many of his kin, he is bit more social than the most (have positive modifier in Charisma duh).

[Private to Feryl Baenre: Also as secret info Mezreth ahves ring which makes him able breath whitout air, pratically a ring of adaption and also he is able to levitate. So that hints whatever house he belonged to he was result of that house's noble and glabrezu union.

And you likely know that Draegloth absolutely never abaddons his mother's house if it is not have been destroyed to last noble. Of course not counting any plots why he is sended as disugised as rogue to another house is still possible and he had not clarified nor denied any rumours either background.]

[Private to Feryl Baenre: A good plan, altough Iahve good will save, but how you force a chosen of Lolth into Zone of Truth evne when he had vowed loyalty to you and you alone in name of Lolth. Not counting the risk that Mezreth can find ending such spell a insulting and can go complaint to matron mother who does nto take kindly if you uneccesary endanger my alliance towards your house :P. But let's say matron mother had already put Mezreth into zone and asked the 'neccesary' questions about his loyalty before accepting him (so she, if anybody else, knows about Mezreth's full background but sadly she died on Mithral Hall).]

All I care about is absolute loyalty to me and nothing you do upset any of my intricate plots..other then that..Just don't get me implicated in anything you do ... :)   unless it is politically advantageous..you know the how it works down here obviously so I figure you know...  :)

[Private to Feryl Baenre: Do not worry, Mezreth is NOT going ruin any your plots, do expect some clever sadistic proposals for torture or mayhem and well planend slaughters form Mezreth :). Also sadly I am not considered male nor female, altough my bestial muscled appearance is masculine but I am defined as genderless. So prpeare to that Mezreth fumes his urges and is very pretty much aggresive personality and likes nothign more than kill and slowly helpless victims :P.

But also he is blindly loyal to a extend to a priestess of Lolth and obeys all commands and takes orders only from you. So long you are most powerfull cleric in the group that is. I asume you have readed from Champions of Ruin of Draegloths are created and how they behave and know about it?]

yeah... I think I messed up my char sheet... I guess that’s what you get for submitting it after working till 3:00am and pulling an all nighter. After checking my char sheet I submitted I should have improved uncanny dodge and not just uncanny dodge. Yeah for not being able to be flanked, just incase you two decide to team up on me.

I also hope Feryl pushes me more then I can take. Just so I have the chance to one hit kill her. Then her pet wont be as much of a match. =)

First off please do not take anything my character says IC personally and I have been joking thus far in the OOC chat. I play in another game where we are all evil and someone’s character is always on someone’s case. Fear of retribution from the rest of the group and the fact that we need each other to complete our goals has kept us from killing each other. I really hope we do not end up trying to kill each other. I am pretty sure you two are going to be the main power group of our team. A female drow with a fiendish pet is a hard act to follow.

I am wondering what we will have to finish up our group. An arcane caster would be nice other then that almost anything should do. Most importantly I want to get this campaign going. I think it should be a lot of fun.

OOC: hehe, I roleplay also. Mezreth haves aggresive trait and Draegloth is never easy to get along whit it becuase they are so violent and only ones who trust in extend to Draegloth are priestess of Lolth and they are only force keeping Draegloths at bay in first place ;).

So my char haves good reason throw alot threats of pain and tell sadistic methods of torture, but thanks to his positive charisma mod and fact that Mezret has been ALREADY ordered not harm party members if they do not directly attack him or Feryl, so feel safe that Mezreth will not be cause of party break up :). I agree that a arcane caster would fill the group nicely and Mezreth knows also how to track (haves the feat), so we do not need neccesary ranger to incase of wilderness tracking.

Thanks for the warning but your seven foot pet is enough of a deterrent for now.  Only time ill be touching anyone in the group is to steal some coin for now ; )  not much just enough to pay for a few bolts, poisons maybe some rations.

Just because our society is sexist doesn’t mean it’s valid. You may be a powerful priestess of my god Lolth but our god enjoys chaos. I cannot think what would be more chaotic for our city then a male rogue taking control. Well maybe a male ranger that lives on the surface.

Great all we need another power tripping woman in the group. At lest this one doesn’t have a 7 foot pet that would try to eat me if he wasn’t told not to. And the seeds of distrust have been set in place. Now all I have to do is wait, for them to grow. With a little nourishment and care I will form them into a weapon for me to use against the both of you. To bad you will only realize what has happened to late to do anything. I will play the hand Lolth has given me and destroy the weak and come out on top. I will have bested house Baenre once more and survived to do it again. Lolth had my house destroyed but she let me live because she has bigger plans for me!

OOC: Mezreth meanted that if priestess of Lolth attakcs you he WILL attakc that priestess and in mental setting thinks it as test setted for him (altough he passed his own Lolth test years ago).

I can think of one male that bested this entire city. I believe his name was Drizzit. You may have herd of him. I am pretty sure he alone was the cause of more chaos then any other drow ever. How many times has he bested you family or the entire city? Also I think we all know what’s gona happen to your mother.

You Kaxxar could not even live one round against Lolths power that she has granted me...

[Private to Mezreth: Lets see. If I touched Kaxxar with just one of my 57 spells or abilities he would die... No Natural or AC bonus counts against it and an easy 40 points of damage per round without trying...only you could last more then one round....

But I still count on you for protection. I could not waste my time on a mere Male drow.


Also Note: I assume you have been guarding me a while, you know I have a spider that Lolth has given me as a companion....She is on the ceiling at present keeping watch. But will land on my shoulder before we move...]

Mezreth growls and replies; "Do not mention outcast, only one drow male have understood the politics of Menzoberranza completely and have gained enough respect from me that I shall not hunt him...not at least century, before I am more powerfull. But brat Drizzt haves not faced draegloth, so you cannot compare his chances against me.

But the theory that he is chosen of Lolth could be intresting, intresting well enough me to go face him and witness it by myself, as one Lolth's children I could sense if his chaos bringing truly inherited from Lolth or not or has Lolth merely planned more horrid fate to Drizzt. Drizzt have only defeated one house, his own house, and his house was weak in faith and it was destroyed."

Still, he is a formidable fighter and one that I would not take on face to face. Now ambush him, stun him senseless with magic, restrain him and then torture him to death? That, I would do!

Mezreth snorts and say; "If you think you are nto match for this outcaste, then using trickery and cleverness of drow is accetable. But I would at least try direct brutal might before I would start resolve into my wits, of course my poison is lethal, it either drains his strenght permamently or great amounts of it."

[Private to Feryl Baenre: Ok, as note because Mezreth is immune to poisons, he uses Shadow Essence to coat his claws when he faces greater foe and I plan multiclass as barbarian to get weapon profincies, so I plan get large greatsword and we can see how much damage I do whit it :D. Also as secret boost Mezreth haves Alchemical tooth which now holds a haste potion, so he cna pull a dirty trick by using varied potions from his tooth.]

Silly fiend tricks aren’t only for the weak. Only a fool would make a head on attack when stealth and intelligence can be used to win the fight before it even begins. Drizzit is the last drow I would want to fight head on. I doubt you could fight Drizzit one on one and live to tell about it. I usually use italics for what my character is thinking. Once we start I will also be using a different colored text for what my character is saying, leaving plan text for actions.

I'll tell you what I told the pirate/hunter crews. You two regions are my two hardest regions to DM and I've been entertaining. This is why I've been so slow to post lately. I only have the time for simple stuff. That being said I hope to have something posted in both regions tomorrow. No guarantees but that's what I want to happen. Wasn't thinking of Randall..but just think of the spells that are up..All I have to do is stand there and let you try and hit me..you will be cut apart by blade barriers, etc...  But of course..I would not just stand there. I donlt even think randall could get past Mezreth to get near me.  :)

Well, Randal is now a lvl 6 Paladin/lvl 2 Purple Dragon Knight, he has his special mount, Imizael (Ranger lvl 7), an awakened heavy warhorse as a follower and the wolf.

They'd at least give Mezreth a run for his money, don't know about Feryl though.

Hmm, magic missiles you say? FEAR MY TOSSED ROCKS!

*Picks a rock form ground, throws it whit immense strenght to do 8pts of damage, interupting spellcasting*

I agree that a paladin wht mount would be hard Mezreth to manage. But if he can make the warhorse trip over (not hard thing to do whit reach) before lance hits then it would be intresting :).

I'm going to pull my character too. Sorry, almost forgot I wasn't playing here. What I mean to say is I'd be saying similar things if I were in your shoes. It's my fault entirely, though some events simply couldn't be avoided.

Alright then. After a long and arduous time stranded in the Underdark, I have returned and decided that I will re-conquer this region for the glory of the Velg'larn Her'tan. The vignette is officially over. Gnome successfully captured, etc.

I would like to see what changes have been made to people's sheets since I had to leave (Arena XP, DM XP, etc).

I did add arena XP and DM XP, but I do not remember what now....
Last time I updated sheet was to add free 'Natural 20" roll I believe...

Of course if my guard does not return ..... I may be in trouble...

It seems that the world is conspiring to keep us apart.

First: The router power supply blew. We had to get a replacement.
Second: We've been having a lot of storms lately with all the recent warm weather in England. Forget what they say. Lightning DOES strike twice. Not a day after we got the replacement router, a bolt of lightning shorted out all of our electrics. Luckily, my mother works for an electrical repair firm so we got them fixed within a couple of days. However, the storms had not had their fill of torturing me. Another storm, another plate of fried electrical equipment.

If there are any statisticians in the house, I'd like to know what the odds are of that kind of thing happening.

Of course, these second lots of repairs were delayed until...guess...go on. That's right: my exams! Oh what a wonderful time I've had of it. And of course, because I'm not in college any more I couldn't use their network to contact you guys.

This didn't happen back at my old house in the city, but now I live in the middle of nowhere, events like this are becoming too frequent for my liking.

The Drow city of Menzoberranzan has always been a place filled with violent deaths. It is the natural order of things in a city devoted to Lady Lolth. Dispose of the weak and aspire to replace those higher in station than you. But what if you just enjoy killing for killing's sake? There is a place for you to go.

It is circa 1341 DR in the pathetic surfacer calendar. The Velg'larn Her'tan is an organization known only to the Matron Mothers of Menzoberranzan and a few other powerful dark elves. Imagine, if you will that there are those living amongst you who may have been hired to kill you outright, not because of a wish to take your power or standing but simply because they have been paid to. They may be an influential noble of Barrison Del'Armgo or even Baenre or possibly an innocuous beggar pleading in the iblith for coins. These are the things you must fear in Menzoberranzan, not the Matron Mothers, not Lolth.

These are the Terrors of the Underdark.

TotU is a bubble region set, if you hadn't already guessed, in the city of Menzoberranzn circa 1341 DR. Early enough for Yvonnel to still be in charge of things but after Drizzt has left the city.
This game is primarily for Drow, though if you write up a good backstory for why you might be a member of a Menzoberranyr Assassins guild, other races are fine (including monster classes for creatures such as Draegloth). Also, because the guild operates in secret, religions other than Lolth are perfectly fine. You start out at ECL 9 (if you're a Dark elf, that means you will be level 7, an Illithid, level 1, etc.) with 36000 gold pieces and 205 Day Units.]
