Hunters: To sell a ship

Having sailed south and west for close to a tenday the Swyft Wynd and her crew have landed in Zazesspur.  As the three ships sail into harbour the two hunters sail toward one end of the dock, the merchantman with its deeper hull to another.

Quickly tieing off the vessal the sailors and crew are soon dismissed to enjoy the  entertainments that the large city has to offer...with a quick warning to be back to the ship within the week!

With an advance on sale of the prize ship of 300 gold to each marine the captain bids them a great stay, and warns you all not to get into to much trouble here in port!

OOC: now I gotta figure out how to sell a ship, and what for :P

Re: Hunters: To sell a ship

Its several hours later when the Catain approches the pirate vessal with a man in tow.  "There she is sir, and a fine ship she is, if I do say so!  We took her not four days back, her former crew put down, though I've got her captains log...if you want to call it that." Clarke says to the offical looking man, going through the necessary duties before the ship can be sold for real profit...if it can be recognized as a missing ship the crew will be given a reward for finding her, and a bounty on the former crew...but nothing like what they could get from a private sale.

The man boards the ship and goes over her for a brief while before disembarking and informing the captain "She is yours sir, do with her as you will." before he moves back down the dock after being handed a small bag of coins from the captain...Damn burrecrates the captain thinks as he pays to much for dock fees and whatever else those coins might be going towards.

Turning to the ship and the marines still aboard her he says "Well lads, shes ours to sell, and I think I may have a fish on the line for her already!  Give me a day or so to work out some leads and we'll see what we can do."

OOC: Move about town guys, do what you like.  you have carte blanch to do as you like. (if you get out of hand I'll step in)

Re: Hunters: To sell a ship

As the small group of mrines head off to do some serious drinking the Captain gets down to negotiating.  Finding buyers for the cargo was no problem at all, goods are goods, no matter where they may have come from.  The question is can he find a buyer for the ship.  It is very late into the evening when Clarke finally finds the lot of you, a large smile on his face.  "Boys, this nights on me!  We've sold the prize and at a fine price to boot!.  As he sits down and places an order with the bar girl he drops a large pouch onto the table, inside it are several smaller pouches.

ooc: inside each of your pouches are 125PP for each of you from the sale of the ship and the cargo that was aboard.

Calgarvin looks at the pouch. "Excellent! Let's celebrate!"

Calgarvin drinks merrily with the crew, though Varul and Tagen can tell he is slightly disappointed with his cut.

Tagen tries to keep pace with the others, but he soon finds he is nowhere near as experienced as they are at celebrating.

Re: Hunters: To sell a ship

It is into the early hours of the morning before the captain leaves to return to the ship.  He leaves enough for the lot of you to drink and stay the rest of the night and asks that you try to make it back to the ship sometime tomorrow.

[Private to Calgarvin Woodwill: Not sure what you were looking for in the way of a prize, I figured 1250 gold was a nice reward for hunting pirates.]

"Another keg here!" Vraul calls out as he places down the empty keg he was drinking from as the wood of the keg splinters.

Re: Hunters: To sell a ship

During the course of the night Calgarvin unleashes a few drinking games that, hitherto, had usually been kept within the ranks of the aquatic druids. No other order could stomach them.
[Private to DM Foxpaws: No there's no dramas at all :). I was just articulating surprise, that's all :). I thought we were in for 1000s :). It's really no matter at all. I'm keener to know what you think the eta might be for us killing the pirate scum?

:)

CW

OOC-FP: I'm hoping soon, I talked to DM Ninj4Cow and he said we could corner them in CHult if we get our ships out...I'm hoping to get them as they are leaving the jungle and heading back to their ship.

Re: Hunters: To sell a ship

"Hopefully da next ship we be saving will be sumthin better then a Cog." Vraul laughs as he drinks down more ale then seems possible. What is even more amazing is he shows no sign of being affected by it...yet some of the old hands know he is quick to fight as he is to drink.
