Eggy:
So what happened after you spoke to HR? Did HR have anything to say other than, "Don't do that again, Mrrshan"?
I had to apologize for talking about policy, that included her, in a public place. I received no formal write up. I had to sit through a 20 minute lecture about why talking about "sensitive" subjects in the workplace (such as corporate policy) should always been done outside of earshot with a third person who can monitor the conversation between the two.
So, obviously, the next time I have to talk to someone about the check cashing policy I'll have to excuse myself, the cashier, find a third party person (preferably another manager) have the conversation, all while the customer waits. Since I can not tell the cashier what to do in public.
Someone may overhear and get offended that I have to re-train someone to do it right. I mean, come on, they have already done the training, do they not think I know what my people are doing?
