Irashaimase!  (Welcome!)

Lots to see and do here.  Why don't you meander over to Beginners and do a self-intro there?

Meanwhile, what sort of gaming are you looking to do?  Almost any game system or home-brewed game is possible here, in any setting you might imagine.

Do you eventually intend to GM?  If so, there are lots of tools here that make it easy to organize a great game.  Hit the Help and FAQs to read up on policies and responsibilities, though, especially if any game you are contemplating might have Adult or Mature content.

As you knock around and have questions, Community Chat (you are here) is a good place to ask them.  It's also great to just hang out and talk about stuff of a more general nature.

More technical questions have their own places:

Game Proposals, Input & Advice is a place to float proposals for games you might want to run, or to "get in on the ground floor" of a new game proposal.

Game Systems is the place for narrowly focused discussion about a particular topic in a specific game system.

Heaven - Gaming Resources is a special forum which lists various kinds of resources (things like character sheets, playing aids, etc.) which are available on RPoL and elsewhere on the net for free.

These are by no means the end of it - as I said earlier, there's lots to see and do here.  Get-a-doin', as they might say in America of the Deep South.

May the dice always treat you kindly.

Hey :). I am new here and have just about no idea what to do. I was wondering if I could get some help with learning about "Roleplay Online". Please and thank you.

In reply to Bailie (msg # 5):

Welcome aboard! I would suggest that you follow the directions provided by horus above it seems to be a good way to get to know things around here.
