The Joys of the Salt Mine
I just coined a new gaming term: "Salt Mine."
A Salt Mine is an incredibly fun and fulfilling game for a DM to run that is still more work than a salt mine slave would do--and gives you the same precious, life-sustaining salt in abundance.
(My game has about 900 posts in four days and I've never enjoyed myself more. Best group of players I've ever had, every one of them completely different from every other, all getting along great and actively contributing to the common cause. They even keep inspiring me to keep filling in campaign lore and gameworld details I hadn't thought of before, and I foresee them creating a lot of fabulous campaign lore through their own gameplay if they stick with me.)
