Question, was doing some testing on the 54 card deck system for the dice roller, first draw went as this.

drew the 2 cards: BJ!, AC using a deck of 54 cards.  testing card generator.

I see the ace of clubs but what card was the other card? A jack of clubs or spades?

The Black Joker.  Red Joker is RJ!

I read this post and got curious about the card roller. I drew three hands of five and ended up with a couple doubles. Is there a way to fudge the rolls to ensure I deal out a complete deck?

The die roller's card function isn't persistent. The only way I've figured out how to do cards properly on RPoL has been to go to random.org and have that deal out a full deck, then copy/paste it to a GM thread here and track how cards are used. It was a lot of work, but it was really cool to see it working.

In reply to Nintaku (msg # 4):

Thanks. I like random.org, so it's no trouble.

You can also generate the whole deck as a single roll (and there will be no duplicates).

Secret Roll: GM drew the 52 cards: 4S, 8D, 6D, 4D, AS, 8S, 2D, 6C, 8C, 10H, KC, 4C, 3D, 2S, 6H, 9S, AD, 10C, JD, JS, 9D, 8H, KD, 7H, QD, 7D, AC, 3S, 5H, KH, 4H, QC, 5C, 2H, 7S, 9H, 10S, JC, AH, 7C, 9C, KS, QS, QH, 3H, 5S, 10D, 2C, 6S, JH, 3C, 5D using a deck of 52 cards.

This effectively gives you a shuffled deck, which you can then deal from manually.

So three players dealt five cards each from the above deck would get:

4S, 4D, 2D, 10H, 3D.
8D, AS, 6C, KC, 2S.
6D, 8S, 8C, 4C, 6H.

The third player, with two pair (eights and sixes) looks to be doing okay.

Here's a bit of trivia that'll blow your mind. That set of cards he just copy-pasted? Assuming other decks of cards that are complete and properly shuffled, there is a significant chance at no other deck of cards in existence has ever produced that exact set in that order.
