Calling Fallout Equestria Fans
I'm rather curious to know how many fans there are of Fallout Equestria hanging around here, and what everyone's favorite system for playing it if they do play it, and definitely what everyone's favorite stories are beyond the the big three (Fallout Equestria, FoE Project Horizons, and Pink Eyes).

And maybe just a bit of general discussion about likes and dislikes about it all.

I just discovered it thanks to your post, but I think I'll become a fan pretty soon.

I just finished chapter 6, and I'm hooked!

In my opinion the goryness of the first chapters sounded a little forced, but it's taken a much smoother tone now.

I'm glad you are enjoying it. I think the point of the initial goryness was to impress upon the reader the unpleasantness Littlepip was facing and to set the stage for what the wasteland is like. First impressions and all that. :)

It is also being told by Littlepip and it rather fits with her to try to emphasize how she saw it at the time. Just like her earlier comment about how difficult it was to impress upon wastelanders how ordinary and pedestrian a pipbuck is, it would be equally hard to impress upon them a stabledwellers first impression of raiders.

Finished! What a journey!

Thanks again for letting me discover it!

I agree that the emphasis on the gory details is meant to highlight its contrast with MLP:FIM, nevertheless I think it may have worked just as well without focusing so much on it.

But that's just a minor detail, the whole thing is marvelous, I've been really impressed on how they managed to keep the MLP feel of the narration in the harsh reality of the Wasteland.

Kudos to the author, I'm really impressed.

I'm glad you enjoyed it.

I'm currently putting a ruleset together for it. Most of the current ones are incomplete and all of them are d100, which really isn't up my alley.

If you're not already familiar with it, I suggest Coriolis. The system is quite simple and easily hackable, and being a spacefaring game it includes radiation rules that are pretty straightforward and manageable.

The authors also have a post-apocalyptic game based on the same system, Mutant, that may need little to no hacking for F:E, but I'm not familiar with that one specifically.

There are free quickstarts for both games, if you want to check them out. If I remember correctly the one for Mutant comes in 2 separate parts, though.
