Prison Cell 8

It had been two days since the ship had arrived here.  Wherever here was.  After a flight in cramped, stinky quarters with three times the appropriate numbers of passengers the group had arrived at this slaving compound.  With a precision that suggested experience the prisoners were herded off and moved into prison cells.

There were 16 cells in total, 8 a side.  Each cell was big enough to comfortably sleep two.  This was problematic as each cell contained a minimum of 4 and up to 6 slaves.  A magcard was needed to open each lock and these were carried only by the guards.  These same guards carried blaster pistols and stun batons to keep prisoners in check.

Most of the slaves were emotionally broken down and sat quietly and dejected.  Their fires had burned out.  They did not wail as this would only call down a beating from their Trandoshan guards.  There was always at least one patrolling the facility and more outside.

Cell 8 was different than the others.  It had the same dimensions and minimal amenities and also contained 4 slaves.  Two of these however still had eyes that burned with fire and minds that dreamed of escape.  So far the pair had not found a way but neither had they given up hope.

They had no idea of the day or time.  It was assumedly night as only one guard stood watch.  They had no obvious item to use as a weapon.  Even if they got out of their cells only two doors were visible.  The one they were led in on their first day, the one that led outside.  The other was just outside their cell and led to the medical facility.  Both doors required both mag swipecard and keycode access.

Some of the slaves who had been there longer spoke well of the doctor who practiced there.  Unlike most of the slavers he did what he could to aid the injured.

They would find a way.  They would taste freedom.  Or they would die trying.

OOC:  Welcome aboard guys.  You're sharing a cell with 2 other slaves.  The 2 with you are broken and of little use.  Your cell consists of two double bunks and a whole in the ground for a 'fresher.  A Trandoshan guard periodically does his rounds.

Welcome aboard!

Re: Prison Cell 8

Daniel watches the quard go by. He scowls in disdain and looks towards Roy, nodding in response to his question. "And you're Roy right?" He thinks for a second about Roy's plan and then speaks again. "I don't like this place any more than you do but we are going to have to be careful. I'm good enough with my fists that I think I can take him but we've got to have his card and the keycode and trandoshans aren't generally known for their willingness to talk...." Daniel cracks his knuckles and looks in the guard's direction to make sure he is out of ear shot. "However, they are pretty stupid so we might be able to trick him some how...."

Re: Prison Cell 8

OOC:  I should point out now a little about my GM'ing style.  I don't automatically make a GM post after all chars have posted.  I post when something has changed or in response to you guys.  So far you guys are just chatting whilst the guard does his rounds.  Thus there is no reason at present for me to post until:

a.  You guys do something
b.  Something changes relevant to you

I mention this in case you are waiting for me

Re: Prison Cell 8

Roy looks around some more. Waits for the guard to move way after one of his rounds.  leans over to Dan "Okay I think it will be best If I play sick when he opens the gate  and steps in you rush in from behind.   Roy looks around to make sure the guard is not in ear shot. "if he calls for a doctor or others to help I will just keep playing sick Like I just fainted or something and we can try something else later.    Roy keeps Looking down the hall to make sure the guard isn't coming.  If there are two or more I don't know what we can do.  I don't think we will be able to over power more then one at a time untill we get some weapons.

Re: Prison Cell 8

"Ok if we do get out of our cell I suggest we head through there." Daniel pointed at the door leading to the meidcal facility. "We aren't going to last 10 seconds out in the open once we get outside unless we've got some weapons. It's not much but maybe we can find something in there." He chuckled. "Plus that doctor might just prove to be a useful hostage. He should know the layout of the base and could tells where we need to go. If all else fails he would still be good as a shield too."

Re: Prison Cell 8

Roy looks down the hall to make sure no one is coming.  You're right abour the doctor he should have alot of the base codes and his own code stick. pauses of a few seconds looks down the hall again.  Just tell me when you are ready and I will faint.

Daniel nodded and gestured towards the guards direction. "I'm ready when you are. When he come around again go for it. I'll try to get his stun baton and blaster away from him if he tries to use them so you grab them."

Re: Prison Cell 8

When Daniel calls out for the guard it doesn't take long for the scowling Trandoshan to arrive at the door.  Looking in through the observation port in the door he snorts and then backs away.  You hear him muttering something in Dosh, presumedly through a commlink.

About 5 minutes later a swipe card is heard being passed through the lock.  As it does a stern voice yells.  "SLAVES ON BUNKS.  NOW!"  All the slaves bar Daniel ran to their bunks immediately and lay down as ordered.  Roy, already on his bunk plays the role of the fainted man to the hilt.

As this is said, a human, probably in his mid-twenties walks into the cell.  Seeing Daniel still standing he pointed to the bunk.

"Better do as they say.  They wont let me look at the sick man until you do as your told.  They tend to get testy."

OOC:  You can both see that there are two trandoshans standing outside the door with blaster pistols drawn.  They don't look too friendly.  The human stands just inside the door.

Re: Prison Cell 8

Jek gave the single standing slave his best attempt at a reassuring smile.

"Please do as they say.  He's your friend I'm guessing.  Well let me help him.  Climb on your bunk.  The guards don't tend to be compassionate. . .or patient."

Re: Prison Cell 8

Seeing the situation is not working out in there favor Daniel begrudingly climbs onto his bunk. He doesn't relax however instead he sits in a state of readiness just in case the opportunity presents itself or something goes wrong. He watches the doctor carefully from his bunk, looking for anything that might be a useful weapon, and says in the most caring voice he can muster. "I don't what happened to him. He had been complaining about some shooting pains in his chest so it might be something serious."

Re: Prison Cell 8

Seeing the last slave take to his bunk Jek moves over to the sick man and kneels beside him.

"My name is Jek.  A lot of people just call me Doc.  So what seems to be the problem?"
