Act 4: The Escape
<30 minutes later>
Devon, with the assistance of Nirro works quickly to crack the security on the ships in the hangar. After only thirty minutes four of the five ships have been reprogrammed with new security protocols. Thanks to Nirro's slicing efforts the ships were fully fueled and charged.
Mark had worked quickly, preflighting the ships and inspecting them mechanically. Owing to his limited time he couldn't do thorough assessments, merely check the obvious and get them warmed up.
On the hangar's main bay, the Barloz medium transport sat proudly. Whilst not the most impressive craft in the fleet, this one had been modified. She boasted a turbloaser turret port and starboard as well as faster engines. Her cargo bay could be sensor-dampened to hide her cargo and she had numerous drive emission overlays to complement her multiple identities.
Sitting outside the hangar sat two well-maintained Z-95 Headhunters. Both were hyperdrive capable and boasted twin triple blasters and a concussion missile launcher that was fully loaded.
Sitting behind them were two Cloakshape fighters. Whilst sturdy and well armed, these craft lacked both hyperdrive and shields. Whilst the lack of hyperdrive made them less attractive, the slavers seemed to have got around that by fixing docking clamps to the top and bottom of the hull. Whilst this slowed speed in hyperspace and sucked more fuel, the benefit of having two extra fighters made up for it. Mark busied himself preflighting these last two ships whilst Devon worked to crack the last fighter's security.
The slaves had been kept in their cells to keep them from wandering. Whilst of few of them showed some brightness at the chance of being free, most of them still looked as if nothing had changed. It would take time and their actual freedom to help mend the hurts they had suffered.
Finding that there was more information to download that he had storage space for, Flash instead went to work removing the storage disks from the security computers. Whilst he did so Jek busied himself inventorying and stacking all the weaponry and armour in the armoury into boxes and onto his medical trolleys. They were then loaded onto the transport by the labour droids in the hangar which Roy had used his skills to reprogram. The droids also loaded Cyril's corpse aboard the transport. There was little time to mourn. That would come later.
Jamie meanwhile moved throughout the facility preparing demolition charges. Darak assisted by gathering several drums of volatile fluid from the hanagar and moving it into position as directed by Jamie. Several kilograms of detonite and grenades which had been taken from the armoury helped prepare the explosive yield. By the time he had finished and hooked up the last detonator, the place should go up with an all-might bang; big enough to destroy the buildings but not so much as to damage nearby buildings.
As everyone finished thier jobs, the team gathered in the hangar to discuss their plans while Devon and Mark worked to finish the last Cloakshape fighter. Everyone waited for the Commander to speak.
OOC: Okay. Thirty minutes have passed. If anyone had anything specific to do in that time I haven't covered let me know. The ships are fuel armed and loaded except for the slaves.
Despite only being 30 minutes I have awarded you vp for an hours worth of resting. Moment of weakness on my part
YOu have (or soon will have) four starfighters and a space transport. The fighters require a pilot whilst the transport will need a pilot, co-pilot and two gunners. An engineer wouldn't hurt either.
