Talking to the prisoner

Exilim moved quickly to the diplomatic pod after speaking with Mark.  By the door stood two of the former slaves the Talons had rescued.  They had blaster pistols stuffed in their belts and looked alert.  As they saw Exilim coming they broke into smiles.

"Prisoner is in there sir." said one of the guards.  "He's a Sullustan.  Think he worked in engineering.  We caught him in his bunk.  Obviously was off-duty when you boarded."

They unlocked the door and let Exilim in.  The two guards came in and stood in the doorway.  The diplomatic pod looked vast and empty.  With such limited space on a ship, having such a large room devoted to diplomacy seemed almost a frivolity.  The Sarratoga had modified this area into a secondary cargo storage area, but at present it was largely empty.

Re: Talking to the prisoner

The Sullustan rises, seeing someone enter.  Hearing the conversation outside and observing the martial apperance of the person sent to see him, he hesitates a second, then pops off a quick and precise salute.

"Sir?  I may be able to be an asset to your and your people, but first I must know your affiliation.  The Slaves talked of you as "Crusaders" and "Saviors", and that's all I've heard of you.  Sorry to be so blunt, but before I can offer anything, I must know your affiliations and intentions.  You must understand, I cannot trade one situation for a worse one."

The Sullustan says this all in a level tone, clearly hoping to be able to trust the officer in front of him, but not letting himself just yet.  He is abrubt with his manners, but seems to bear no ill will.

Re: Talking to the prisoner

After a quick glance around the diplomatic pod, Exilim approached the prisoner with a stern but not unfriendly look playing across his face.

"I see" Exilim replied to the prisoners statement. He looks at him for a moment trying to decide how to handle the situation.

"Lets start with this then" Exilim says. "You can call me 'Four' at present. You would be?"
