Re: Act 3.2: Reciprocity, Part 2
Mark quickly took up the podium. "Welcome back. I hear you had an interesting time on the station and gathered some valuable data. I have used the information you supplied to help plan our next strike."
"But first some housekeeping. As you know, you've met a few people along the way who've shown an interest in our team. Firstly Jace Torlo here. Despite our. . .less then ideal first meeting, he has shown an interest in working with us. Given his skills in infiltration I've tasked him with hunting for Zyra Jax. Zyra is a survivor and I'm not ready to abandon her. I've supplied Jace with various ways to potentially contact her and being human, he can move more openly around an Imperial world then Zyra could."
"Our second addition is Aryan here. Apparently he was impressed with some of the stories you told on the Starflower and hates the Empire as much as any of us. He's a bounty hunter by trade and assures me he has some pilotting experience. Webb, be sure to put him through the simulator when time allows. I also want you and Nallis to look at our duty roster and reassign callnumbers. Leave Torlo off as he'll be incommunicado for some time."
"Now on to the mission. After Jamie sent me the details on the petrochem companies, I made contact with Phindar Petrochem. Using a few references from the PHA I was able to learn they are indeed hiring mercenaries to assist them but they have trouble keeping them as the prices they can afford to offer are fairly low. Given our resources, limited as they are, they could never afford to fund us."
"To that end, I brokered a deal which is both risky and potentially lucrative for us. Using what credits I could borrow, we have the option of buying a five percent share in Phindar. As such instead of recieving payment for work our reward will come from improved share prices. They'll also sweeten the deal by supplying one tanker load of military-grade fuel to us per month."
"This deal, if we take it could make or break us. If we succeed in helping Phindar become a successful operation we will have a strong cash flow and access to more than enough fuel to manage our current ships. If we fail, we're bankrupt. Since we are now an organisation rather than military I wanted your opinion before proceeding. Please speak freely."
