When Kyvarr gets the call to report to the other ship she sets the ship on auto and quickly makes her way to the galley. She was glad and regretful to see Cor back. The Umbaran was very skilled but the Cathar had to admit she'd enjoyed her time as Devon''s deputy.

Devon raised an eyebrow at the B1 that had greeted him.
"Don't recall you having' a speech impediment..." he told the Droid as he ambled past it.

"So what's Cor done with the place?  She had you guys paintin' the walls?"

Padding through the Voidsong, Devon thumbed his Talon commlink to send a message back to Dohr and Kyvarr.
"You still got the Flare on comms?  Route it through to Voidsong and come aboard - Cor's invited us all to join her in the galley.".

Or her hologram at least Devon told himself as he entered the galley and looked around.

Kyvarr alerted the Lunar Flare group then did the required comm transfer as instructed before heading to the galley on Cors ship. She didn't bother pointing out the transmission wasn't secure. Cor had always been the comms expert of the team.

"His vocabulator's developed a fault," AE5 advises helpfully, escorting Devon and any Talons with him through the ship.  AE3 stays by the airlock to await any latecomers.  "I think it was when our Mistress deleted certain key phrases out of our vocabularies but I'm not telling her that," the droid advises, tone conspiratorial but volume exactly the same - hardly a whisper.  "There's been a few privacy screens put up and our Mistress says she has 'big plans' for the Voidsong but I'm not an astromech so I don't ask."

The battle droid leads the Talons through the ship to a turbolift, the door of which is sheltered from the large middle-deck cargo hold by a temporary construction screen fixed to the floor and ceiling, the sort one uses when renovating an area.  It, and a couple of other screens like it, are the only sign of any renovation having been done, though.  The B1 takes the short trip up to the top deck and straight into the dining hall.

Cor is waiting in the dining hall when AE5 leads the Talons in, looking through a series of notes on a datapad and generally relaxing.  She gives Devon and Kyvarr a little half-wave and a smile, as if they'd last seen one another only a couple of hours ago.  The light in the dining hall is dimmed slightly but a pair of sunglasses sit nearby in case the Umbaran needs them.

"Hello," she says lightly, gesturing to the seats around the long table.  "Take a seat, refreshment will be forthcoming.  We have much to talk about."

"She's been deleting stuff from your vocabularies?" Devon asked the battledroid as it led them through the ship.  "What did she remove?  No, wait - you can't tell me, because it's been removed..."

Cor Lambar:
"Hello," she says lightly, gesturing to the seats around the long table.  "Take a seat, refreshment will be forthcoming.  We have much to talk about."

Devon winced a couple of times as he lowered himself into the first seat he came to.
"Hey Cor, Flares call is being put through to here - they're still on open comms though, so theres gonna be some stuff we can't say unless we mute our transmission first..."

Re: Act 7.1: Corellian Sector

"Not at all, I can tightbeam a secure transmission from here directly to Mika's M4 droid, if she has it with her."  Cor taps a few spots on her datapad, sending out a couple of commands to her droids and humming a few bars of some melody she must have heard in her time away from the team.  "In that way it can act as a relay, allowing the absent team members to attend holographically, as I normally do.  In order to pick up the transmission from that droid, however, I need to set up a similar... tightbeam-ish technique using the Voidsong's sensors.  Otherwise the transmission will only work one way as the M4 droid's transmission range falls well short of our position.  The set-up is not terribly difficult but it involves the ship's active sensors to be, well, active.

"In such a situation as this, with data being streamed to and from the world constantly, the issue is minor, particularly as the Imperials know full well what ships surround their worlds - but in circumstances that require a more deft touch this method lacks the subtlety to be desirable.  That means we need to upgrade the communications equipment on all of our vessels, which we will need to do anyway as I have some new and particularly important communications algorithms to implement."

Then, with a tap, she opens a comms line - the unsecured comms line to the Lunar Flare.

"Janine, Kimy and crew - please respond.  This is Sola Numen requesting acknowledgement."

Dohr was the last to enter Cor’s ship and headed to the dining hall. When he entered the room, the Doc stopped for a second and smiled behind his mask. He’d talked with the woman more than a few times, but this was the first time he actually met her. He waited politely for Cor to finish he chat with the Talons on the Lunar Flare before limping up to her.

Dohr gave the Umbaran a polite Kel Dorian bow. ”Nice to finally meet you in person, Cor. I am, as for sure are the others, very happy to find you and Flash in good health. Let us hope the same can very soon be said about Fiarr as well.”

Re: Act 7.1: Corellian Sector

Once several of the Flare's crew had collected their M4 droids Cor went to work.  After a few minutes she bade the crew move into the galley where there was more room.  Once in position one of the M4's beamed a holographic image of the Talons on the Voidsong onto the table.  While the image was only quarter size it allowed the groups to converse.  The other M4's also engaged their holographic sensors but for a different purpose.

On board the Voidsong, thanks to Cor's more advanced systems, things were even better.  Life-sized holograms of the various Talons appeared in chairs just like they were sitting there.  The images were a little grainy, courtesy of the tightbeam transmissions and limited equipment onplanet but they were more than servicable.  Better yet they were encrypted with the Talon frequencies and on a very tightbeam transmission.

Now the groups could talk in almost real time in full holo with enough encryption only a dedicated Imperial slicing team could hope to trace it let alone decrypt it.  It wasn't quite Holonet quality but it was as close as one could hope for.

You now can talk to each other on an encrypted holographic line!  Thank Cor for spending a heap of credits on comm gear and the M4 droids she gave you all!

Re: Act 7.1: Corellian Sector

Mika decides to make the plunge.  "Good to see all of you.  First, we got an invite to meet, Mantooine five days from now and we're out of touch with Fiarr.

Now, my part of the story.....

So, when we got here, we split up to sniff out information.  I didn't have any luck, so I headed back to the ship and there was a guy here waiting.  I couldn't get a good look at him and Catch got some not wonderful footage.  Anyway, he asked point blank if we oppose or support the Empire, so I fessed up that we oppose.  He finally gave up a little bit, said he was a former general, a former Jedi and a former drunk who now hunts the Empire.

Then he wanted to know why we were asking about Vader's fleet.  I don't know how he knew we were, but I told him we're looking for some friends.  Then I got a comm from Sheila calling for help, so I hustled him off ship and started trying to track her down, but I didn't get anywhere with it.

Later, Heigrin and Sheila got back and we started trying to figure out what to do next when you guys chimed in.

Next"

She looks at Sheila and Hiergrin to carry on the tale.

Taking Mika's lead, Heigren told his story.

"I hooked up with some local resistance forces.  They told me that while their is a lot of traffic through here, some highly secretive, they have not seen the fleet we're hunting and it's not like it would be hard for them to spot.  So I struck out but I think Sheila has the best leads of all of us."

Re: Act 7.1: Corellian Sector

Sheila looks kind of sheepish. "Actually, it's sort of embarrassing, I got caught.  We got made early on, by the same people who that guy that visited mika represents.  THey followed me most of the day, and when I saw them early on, I didn't really try to go do anything.  I lost one and they got me.  stunned me, then the guy from the ship questioned me.  He says he was at the meeting that we believe Mark and Zyra went to.  The meeting was a trap, set by galen Malek, a sith (not our guy, I don't know his name), who then turned on his masters and rescued the bigwigs at the meeting (Bel Ibis, MOn MOthma, and Organa of Alderaan, who have apparently laid the ground work for a formal Alliance between all the rebellious factions.  The bad part is, the imperials captured or killed most of the fleet.  THey have a rescue attempt going and if you go to a spot on Mantooine, easter area southern continent five days from now at the oh 8 hundred local time, I have a tracker that will get you to the right spot.  They want to know what we have to offer the rescue attempt, people and ships, and they might let us join.  He didn't recognize Mark or Zyra's name, but if they were will the high leadership they were rescued, otherwise they need rescueing,  THis Malek guy died in the rescue.  The guy from this ship is blind.  He might be jediish, I'm not sure. Re: Act 7.1: Corellian Sector

The Umbaran smiles to Dohr as he greets her, nodding her head slowly.

"A pleasure to meet you in the flesh as well, Dohr.  It will not likely be very common, unfortunately, but I am setting up the Voidsong to allow myself more freedom of movement."  She gestures to a seat, encouraging the Kel'dor - and the others - to make themselves at home.

When Mika speaks up she falls silent, watching with an intent gaze and taking notes when appropriate.  Cor considers all that has been said, nodding in particular to Sheila's comments on the ambush on Mon Mothma et al.  This is, quite clearly, not news to her.  She taps a few things into her datapad and wordlessly sends the message off, a note to her droids to fetch food and drink.

Her PK droids answer the summons, bringing in a selection of fruits, meat and beverages for those attending physically to partake in.

"And do we have some determination as to exactly how long Fiarr has been out of contact?"  She looks to Kyvarr.  "Is it unusual for your friend to be gone for so long or should we consider this an abnormal absence and start actively looking for her?"

Kyvarr shook her head.  "Not unusual at all Ma'am.  It's Fiarr's SOP to vanish from sight without contact.  Though she normally has a reason."

She gestured at the holograms from the Nebula Drifter.  "Did she indicate she was going to investigate something or at leadst 'go dark' as she often puts it?"

She turned back to Devon and Cor.  "If Fiarr thought there was 'downtime' she might have picked up a contract on planet or perhaps pursued something she found curious.  She does that a lot.  Normally she checks in when she can, no longer than a day."

"At present I see no reason to believe she is in trouble, or see anything we could do if she was.  We either give her time to check in or leave her a message of where we're going.  She's resourceful enough to find us"

"OK, so we're not worried about Fiarr yet.  We'll give her... what - a day? before we start putting out the 'have you seen this bothan?' signs."

Devon paused to consider the reports the others had given, his brow furrowing as he read through the hastily written notes he had taken.
"It sounds like... you guys may have made some seriously useful contacts.  Maybe not what we hoped for, not what we wanted to hear... but I think I wanna meet this guy - ain't so sure he's a Jedi though, ain't those creepy space magicians supposed to be all gone now?  Doesn't matter..  if he's really tryin' to rescue any survivors of that meetin' then I'm thinkin' its somethin' we wanna be in on."

Re: Act 7.1: Corellian Sector

"I believe we may need to have a talk with Fiarr about this tendency of hers to go off without any method of contacting her.  That could backfire very badly and very hard some day."

Cor taps her lips thoughtfully a few times before continuing.

"The agreement you mention is called the Corellian Treaty, and it was shaped to bring into existence an alliance, formally called 'The Alliance to Restore the Republic.'  Following the attack, capture and subsequent rescue of its leaders the Treaty itself was ratified on Kashyyyk.Flash and I were privileged enough to be on-planet at the time and aware of the gravity of the moment, though not important enough to get an invitation to the formal ceremony."

She drinks from the oversized mug of space-coffee that a PK droid has brought her and lets the smell enliven her before continuing.

"After leaving your company Flash and I managed to stumble across the Permellian Hydian Alliance and from there learned of the rebellion against the Empire as well as some details of the ambush and rescue of its leaders.  We made it to Kashyyyk in time, obviously, and have been in touch with various parts of the Chandrillan armed forces, particularly a few people who know Mark and Zyra.

"We know, therefore,"
she adds, "that they were not rescued along with Mon Mothma and her allies.  We must proceed on the assumption that they are still not secured, especially as that is by far the most likely scenario."  She stops to sip more fortifying space-coffee.  It seems to invigorate her and she stretches her neck out from side to side.  A small 'crunch' ensues.

"The Jedi are not all dead, though their order is barely a shadow of what it once was.  One Jedi Master General Rohm Kota is hunting down surviving prisoners from the initial capture of the Alliance leaders - which is likely to include Mark and Zyra, though I heavily doubt he knows them by name.  He is known to be in this area.

"Should I assume, then, that this 'guy who visited the ship' failed to identify himself?"

Kyvarr shrugged at the comments about Fiarr. The Bothan could look after herself. The talk about this Rebel Alliance was interesting though.  Sheila and Cor seemed to know a lot about it.

"This alliance. You make it sound significant. I haven't heard of any of these people. I assume this is more than a few resistance groups working together."
