How to post in this game...

Here's how to post entries for this game.

Please Note: Posting rates are expected to be between 3 and 4 times a week for both the DM and the players.  if you fall behind or are too slow in your posts, your PC will be run as an NPC and then left out of the story at an appropriate time.  You as a player will be taken out of the game.  If there will be a time you know you will not be able to post, please PM me to let me know, and I will run your character as an NPC for a short time.

Pick a portrait for your PC.  Every time you post, that portrait will come up.  Try to pick one that looks as much like your PC as possible.  Use the same portrait throughout the game.

(Once this is done, award your PC 25 XPs.)

Set up a description for your PC that matches your portrait pretty closely.  You should also indicate aspects of your character's mannerisms, dress, personality, and voice in the description.  History/Background is not to be added in the description.

(Once this is done award 25 XPs to your PC.  The more detailed and meaningful/helpful to other players, the more XPs I will tell you to add to the base of 25 XPs, up to a maximum of 50 XPs for the best descriptions.  Note that "best" does not always mean most wordy or freaky.)

Bio Lines set up: Bio line 1 should read I +x (for your Initiative modifier), AC/TA/FF (for normal AC, Touch Attack AC, and Flat Footed AC).

Bio line 2 should read HP/HP where the first number is your current hit points You all start with maximum hit points at the begining of play) and the second number is your maximum hit points, then F/R/W for your three saving throw modifiers.

(Once this is set up, give your PCs 25 XPs.)

So you can get up to 100 XPs for your character before entering play!

As play progresses, I will keep a tally of XPs in the XP Thread.  You are expected to keep track of your PC's XPs on the character sheet.

You are also expected to update your PC's bio lines to reflect changes in hit points, etc. during play.

Bonus XPs for roleplaying, keeping up posting rates, and keeping track of hit points, changes to your PC's sheet, etc. are also awarded.

The posts themselves:

Dialog is in red.  If speaking in a language other than Common, say so at the start of the dialog.

Thoughts are in red italic.

Out of character comments are in green.  Try to keep them at a minimum, since there is a forum for OOC comments and discussion on this site.

Roll results are in blue and should be cut and pasted from the dice roller result field.  Indicate when you roll the dice the reason for the roll.  For example: 11:39, Today: Garan rolled 11 using 1d20+6. Bluff on the waitress.

Spell titles are in purple when they are cast in-game.

Actions/reactions are in plain old default black (or white) text.

Things for emphasis can be bolded.
