Re: Destiny- Kyron's Bunk

Kyron stares at the small room, not exactly up to par with his tastes, but it would do.  He couldn't see how the Captain could have gone without any complaints however, the mattress was something to admired - all lumpy and hard, he noticed as he sat down and tested it.

He hangs his clothing up in the pathetic excuse for a closet, careful to keep them towards the center and not touching the metal walls.  His wardrobe alone cost a small fortune, he didn't want it touching any part of this hulking boat.  He sits then on the lumpy mattress.

He supposed he really couldn't complain, the ship was getting him off-planet, and hopefully quickly.  The Captain obviously thought him something of a pansy which was fine.  He prefered it when people underestimated him.

Re: Destiny- Kyron's Bunk

Kyron felt his stomach rumbling lightly.  He was hungry, it'd been a while since he ate, of course he wasn't expecting this ship to have anything that passed as actual food.  But he supposed protien was better then nothing, and stood up making his way to the dining hall.

Re: Destiny- Kyron's Bunk

Kyron walked into his bunk, and decided since he had nothing better to do he would perhaps sleep for a while.  Now that they were off planet he felt a great deal safer.

A while later he woke up to the sound of laughter.  That bloody cargo bay echoed like mad.  You most likely could be whispering in the room and be heard all through the small ship.  Kyron rubs his eyes and sits up.  He slowly peruses his closet before settling on a change of clothing, having fallen asleep in his current ensemble it was wrinkled and would not do. Kyron prefered the finer things in life.  He changed his clothes and then bent down by his trunk.  Typing in the lock code the trunk hissed open.  He pulled out a small terminal and sat it on his lap, clicking away at the keys.  He had a few things that needed to be done now.  It didn't take long however and soon he was just sitting there, doing nothing.  So he decided to see what the group of people who had the balls to call themselves a crew were doing.

Re: Destiny- Kyron's Bunk

Kyron returned to his bunk, thinking about the crew with a snide smile.  He had obviously not made a particularly good name for himself, however that was none of his concern, let them think what they wish.  He would soon be off this piece of fei wu and back to work.  Although he'd have to keep an eye out for the giant, the man harbored no love for him and was big enough to break Kyron over his knee if he so choose.  He checked his terminal once more and smiled.  They were close and he had some things he needed.

Kyron put away the terminal, they should be arriving on Valon very shortly.  He decided to make his way out into the ship.

Re: Destiny- Kyron's Bunk

Kyron slunk into his bunk feeling relieved, bewildered and slightly indignant.  He hated border planets, he was very pleased that he would not be dealing with them any longer, core worlds only from now on, he told himself.  Thank the lord they were headed to Londium.  He would unboard there and leave this ship and its psychotic crew behind and get about his business. Starting to feel calmer he took out his terminal and busied himself with applying the new router, his fingers flying over the keys.

Re: Destiny- Kyron's Bunk

Kyron heard all manners of noise coming from the hallway outside his room.  Curious he opened his bunkroom door and peered outside, he was almost crashed into as the Captain and the giant came running into the passengers quarters, each carrying a small child.  Kyron took one look at the commotion, his eyes grew wide, and he shut his door.

"Oh Lord ... what have I gotten myself into?" he said aloud, as he slumped onto his bed.

Re: Destiny- Kyron's Bunk

Having precured the meds from Londinium all onboard Destiny have been vaccinated.  The recovering crew took refuge on the Gypsy planet Paquin where they buried the two children, Sephone and Tate, who were lost on their last mission.  Now that everyone is back on their feet Destiny is looking for work once more, while trying to avoid a very angry Cortez, Alliance patrols, and Bosik's men.

Re: Destiny- Kyron's Bunk

Kyron laid back on his exceedingly uncomfortable bunk.  He hated this stupid ship and all the uncivilzed people on board.  He was not pleased in the least at the most recent turn of events.  Having barricaded himself in his room during what the crew had taken to calling 'the epidemic', he was in perfect health, and had been for that past week or so that they had been on this god forsaken planet.

A lift to Beaumonde, that is what he had paid for and yet some how he kept ending up on back water planets.  And Paquin!  Of all places.  He had been keeping an extra special eye on all of his belongings since Destiny had touched down and had avoided leaving the ship for the most part.  If he thought the crew uncivilized they were nothing in comparison to the savages that roamed the streets here.

Still a man had to eat, so Kyron rolled over and stood up, brushing off his shirt, and checking for wrinkles before heading to the dining hall.

Re: Destiny- Kyron's Bunk

Kyron was busy at his terminal when he heard the Captain's voice over the comm.  He considered staying put where he was for a few moments.  He was certainly not one of the Captain's hired hands.  However, he did wish to know what the plan was.  And it had better include dropping him off on Beaumonde.

Re: Destiny- Kyron's Bunk

Kyron stepped into his ridiculously small bunk ... he was beginning to hate these walls.  Soon he'd be off this boat though - and the sooner the better.  It was getting dangerous being around these people for so long.  They were clearly fugitives - criminals, and hardly intelligent enough not to get caught.

He pulled out his terminal, as he always did and his fingers flew over the controls.

Re: Destiny- Kyron's Bunk

Kyron stared down at his terminal and frowned.  Ni ta ma de tian xia suo you de ren dou gai si he thought as he looked at the picture of the scruffy, ill shaven, and dangerous looking man looking up at him from the screen.  That was quick, Kyron had hoped it would take a bit longer. They'd even found his real name.  Quickly Kyron typed in a few key commands and closed his terminal - he didn't have long.  Soon Destiny's computers would receive the wave as well.  Bending down by he trunk he pulled out everything, fishing for the false bottom and removing the parcel that lay there.

Showtime.

Re: Destiny- Kyron's Bunk

After getting their ship back the crew of Destiny began to pick up the pieces that Kyron had shattered.  Against most of the crews wishes Kyron was kept alive - although no official plans had yet been made for what to do with him when it became apparent that Wei-Li was falling into critical condition. Destiny needed medical help and fast.  They made way for the nearest planet at the time - Orisis.

Re: Destiny- Kyron's Bunk

After the fire fight at the Grand Yacht Party Kale worked out an arrangement with the Caddigan's.  Conveniently, the crews good friend Kyron Bates footed the bill with his bank card that he accidently dropped during his hijack attempt and which Wei-Li luckily found.  So finally the crew returned home ... back to Destiny.  Although slightly worse for wear.

They had been out in the black for a few days when Kale recieved a wave from his good friend and old professor, Walton Squires.  It was a pleasant surprise to recieve an invitation to his home on Regina and also to hear that he had a job for them ...

Re: Destiny- Kyron's Bunk

After successfully delivering the stamp to the Professor and despite the loss of their first mate, the crew of Destiny headed back into the black.  Back to work.  A few jobs later has left them with a crate from Xiaygin to be delivered to Torrance Station.  They've just docked at the space station located on the rim.

Its now been almost a month since the museum job and Rhaef leaving - the wounds are healing but they haven't been forgotten yet.

Re: Destiny- Kyron's Bunk

After their daring escape from Torrance Station the crew of Destiny was left broken and beaten ... and one crew member short.  The mourning had just begun for the crew but they had to press on.  They dropped the young boy which Kale, Geoff, and Wei-Li had saved off with his father and then turned to Paquin for Ren's funeral.  It was a short trip that left all of them with heavy hearts but Ren's death had effected no one as hard as Acacia.  So two weeks later found the crew of Destiny on Osiris saying goodbye to their doctor.

And although he was millions of miles away, as Destiny and her crew suffered ... so did Rhaef ...

Re: Destiny- Kyron's Bunk

The crew of Destiny has finally managed to get itself back on its feet.  After a trying past few months things are starting to go back to normal.  The absence of Ren and Acacia is still felt but the ships newest members have begun to find a home on board the old freighter.  Most relationships have been mended and although there are still some unanswered questions between members of the crew life has been peaceful.

However, after a few months of excitement and trials the crew has discovered that the cash flow has come to a sputtering halt.  The crew needs a job and soon.  First rule of the black is to keep flying.  Fortunately, one of Kale's contacts managed to put him in touch with the infamous Sin Twins.  The girls are probably the most ... unpredictable of contacts, one can never be quite certain what they're getting into when dealing with them.  But one thing is for certain, the pay-out is always good.  The crew has set up a meeting with the twins in a casino on Santo to get more details about the possible job.
