Re: Orisis - Capitol City Hospital

"Well, kind of, I saw a sign as we got off the elevator, that this stairwell will take us to the staff locker room. I am guessing we should be able to find some other clothes to borrow, and then use the back exit there." He replied sheepishly. "If everything goes well then, we'll walk right out, if not well, then I was kidnapping you and you had no choice but to come with me. And then I'll do my best to take the fall for everyone."

"Hopefully it won't come to that, though I doubt they'd believe you anyway," she said with a smile.

"You up to going down the stairs?"

Re: Orisis - Capitol City Hospital

Taking a deep breath the two began their descent.  Thought it was slow going, they managed to make it to the sub basement without incident.

They could hear the industrial sized laundry machines, and feel the most heat from the Laundry room to their left.  To their righ was the hallway to the locker rooms.

Rhaef moved slowly toward the laundry, moving quietly to peer around the corner to see if the room was attended to or not at that moment.

Re: Orisis - Capitol City Hospital

Finding the laundry room, convienently empty, Rhaef motioned Wei-Li in. As he expected, they found a large quantity of institutional and private laundry, cleaned and available to them. He began quickly collecting clothes that would fit him. Luckily, he quickly found a pair of dock pants and t-shirt that would fit him. Unluckily, the only shirt he found that fit and was large enough to conceal a blaster, was a hawaiian print number with tiki-gods and hula-girls on it. "Wei-Li, this'll be our best chance to find clothes that will be less, shall we say clinical. See if you can find anything that'll fit you, and then I'll cover the area while you change." Rhaef said ducking behind a laundry cart and quickly changing his clothes, carefully avoiding his bandages on his leg.

Re: Orisis - Capitol City Hospital

Rhaef looked over toward Wei-Li, hoping she had not started to change yet, he did have a shread of modesty and did not want to see Wei-Li like that, Charlie maybe, but... damn it, boy, stop daydreaming, his mind screamed to himself.

"So Wei-Li, find anything that would work for you?" Rhaef said quietly. As he waited, he ran through recent events in his mind. He knew they'd down a piss poor job thus far, or more exactly he had. He could have drugged the guard and made look like he was asleep. He allowed himself to be seen on any number of video cameras. He had an alliance ident card and blaster - both of which probably could be tracked, and both he and Wei-Li were wounded.

Rhaef grit his teeth. At this point, he knew where he had to go in Osiris, although he was not particularly excited about going there.

Re: Orisis - Capitol City Hospital

Wei-Li was slipping off the scrubs bottoms when Rhaef turned, but underneath were her jeans.  "Still looking," she answered as she started searching through a few bags and finally pulled out a t-shirt that looked to be 2 sizes too big.

She turned her back to him, taking off the scrubs shirt, to slip the t-shirt on.  She wasn't wearing a bra, and judging by what she was finding, wasn't going to find one that would fit.  She slipped the t-shirt on, then pulled her belt out of the belt loops on her jeans and buckled it around her hips, holding the t-shirt in place.

"Do we have any idea where the others are? She asked turning back towards Rhaef.

"Nah, Kyoko was taking Lei somewhere, and the others were taken to a detention center." He said, turning back to her when she spoke, he had turned his back out of decorum when he saw she had removed a shirt from one of the bags.

"First we need to find a pawn shop and ditch this piece," indicating the guard's gun, "Should fetch a pretty price, and even maybe a couple of clean pieces for us. Then I need to dump this ident card. After that, I have a few contacts here, people I ain't particular excited about going to see, guys from my old life, but if we're going to find the others, its a necessity." Rhaef replied detailing his limited and, in his mind, poor plan.

Re: Orisis - Capitol City Hospital

Rhaef was starting to get jumpy, it was only a matter of time before someone noticed that they were missing and the longer they spent here, the more difficult things were going to be. He had spent the last few minutes, slipping supplies into the pockets of the cargo pants he was wearing. He hoped to be out of here before the inevitable happened, but was not sure it was possible. He also knew that they were not really up to a prolonged chase. He had spent the past few minutes also thinking of how to concoct a plan, so that it would appear that he had kidnapped and forced Wei-Li to help him. No sense in both of them being imprisioned.

Re: Orisis - Capitol City Hospital

Up in the reception area of the Capitol City Hospital Emergency Facility a bored receptionist got a call from a Miss Monroe inquiring on the health of Rhaef and Wei-Li.  In a matter of moments, it was realized that both the man and woman brought in earlier that day were gone.

"Set all guards on alert, the pairs profiles have been sent to everyone's tablets, they are not to be allowed out of the hospital." Roderick, the man incharge of security at Capitol City hospital said, sending out the alert.  He only hoped that they were still inside ... of course, if they weren't well, then it was out of his jurisdiction, and honestly, it wasn't his fault they had gotten away, he thought, glancing over at the Alliance officer that was slowly regaining conciousness from a slight overdose of painkillers.  Damn Alliance officers, he really hated their presence in his hospital ...

He marched up to the security headquarters, "I want you to scan through all security camera footage, focused on the hallways outside their doors." the man behind the controls  scanned through the tape until Roderick said firmly, "There, stop the tape." he watched as a woman and man dressed as an orderly and a man in scrubs exited the room.  "Follow their path." Roderick said and continued to watch.  When the tape was done he smiled. "They're in the locker rooms, dispatch a team."

Re: Orisis - Capitol City Hospital

Rhaef heard the voices coming toward the stairs and the elevator shaft. Their absence had been discovered. Turning to Wei-Li, "Well, they know we're gone. I think its time we left. Are you ready for this?" Rhaef began making his way toward the rear door. He keep movig laundry carts in front of the other doors in hopes to impede the process of their pursuers.

"Right now, the plan is too not be here, when hospital security gets here." He said as they moved to the rear doors of the hospital laundry. "I'm hoping that they are trying to keep things quiet as of yet, because the Alliance and the hospital does not want it known that two suspects where able to walk out of the hospital. If we can get outside, maybe we can dump some of this stuff. And get to the old city. I have some contacts there. Its either that, or go back to the kidnapping plan, and return to our rooms."

Re: Orisis - Capitol City Hospital

Wei-Li looks around. "Promblem is.. they're going to have cameras..." she said, thinking outloud as she scans the joint between the walls and the ceilings and then the ceilings themselves.

"Probably how they tracked us... "  She looks at him and shrugs.  "Which means we're going to need to break the visual trail before we do anything..."

She looks around, squinting and picks out a few camera, hoping she's found them all, then nods towards them. "We cover their eyes, count to 10... hope they can't find us..."

"Sounds good to me. How do we cover their eyes?" Rhaef replied hoping that he would not have to shoot out the cameras, ammo was quickly becoming significnatly more valuable.

Wei-Li pauses for a minute and then looks at him, and moves over to the cart pulling out a roll of Adhesive tape.  She holds it up and looks at him questioningly.

"I don't know how good I'm going to be at climbing... you up to do it.. or lifting me?"

Re: Orisis - Capitol City Hospital

Rhaef tested his leg, and pushing off did not seem to be much of a problem. He knew in the back of his mind, the adrenaline was allowing him to do things he would pay for with pain later, but right now that did not matter. "I should be able to climb, you'll just have to point out the cameras." Rhaef said as he took the tape from Wei-Li.

Re: Orisis - Capitol City Hospital

Wei-Li squinted slightly and then confirmed the locations. there was one in the opposite corner of the room, so that the majority of each room was covered, along with ones pointing at the doors to the locker rooms.

She gave him an appologetic shrug.  "Those four look like it

Re: Orisis - Capitol City Hospital

Rhaef pulls himself up on the laundry racking and begins pushing himself around, blocking out the pain in his leg. He reaches the first two cameras and tapes them off. Then he glances at his leg, and notices a faint splash of red on his cargo pants, which suggests that his leg wound was probably bleeding some again. He limped slightly to the locker room cameras, taped them off as well. He returned to Wei-Li, and said, "Well, here's hoping that worked." They walked toward the door, "10..9..8..."

Re: Orisis - Capitol City Hospital

Wei-Li nods and then points out three possible escape routes.

She points towards the windows, towards the laundry chutes, the vents, and the locker rooms.  All of them have possibilities, the windows would mean most likely being seen, the chutes, they'd just have to managed to stay braced up inside them until the search party was through ... (and hope they didn't have heat sensors)  the vents would be hot, but less likely to be seen.  They probably wouldn't be able to exit from there, but at least hide out.

The locker room... that was an unknown.

Re: Orisis - Capitol City Hospital

Rhaef shakes his head, none of their choices were particularly appealing. Going out the windows would be the fastest, but that would be dicey healthy and neither of them were that. The laundry chutes looked like they might support her weight, but not his. The vents had serious potential, although he did not like being a sitting duck. Finally, the locker room seemed like the obvious route, and for that reason was probably the most risky. He turned to Wei-Li and said, "What do you think? I am inclined to run and gun through the locker room. But then again, I'm the one who'd rather die fightin' than live in captivity. Our option is to hide you in the laundry chute and me in a vent, and hope that if they find anybody, they find me."

Re: Orisis - Capitol City Hospital

Wei-Li nodded, seperating might be the better bet, then they'd have a lesser chance of catching both of them.  She nodded, but rather than heading for the chute, she went to the locker room door and locked it from the inside.

"Sounds like a plan," she told him.  "I'm going to prop the window open... make it look like we went through there..."

She moved, moving the stolen cart over to the window sill and making sure there were scuffs in the dust.  Once she was satisfied, she gripped the bottom of the cute, pulling herself up.  It was clear that the effort hurt, but nothing seemed to rupture.

Re: Orisis - Capitol City Hospital

Rhaef watched the woman in amazement, she was certainly more than just a crystal grower. In most ways, she was a better criminal than he was. Quick Rhaef slammed a laundry cart into the locked door, to make it look like they tried to go that way before, going out the window. Finally, he slung the guard's ident card on the window, to make it look it was lost during the escape. The Rhaef climbed into the vent, and backed in. From where he was, he could see the room, but people in the room could not see him.

Re: Orisis - Capitol City Hospital

From their hiding places Wei-Li and Rhaef could hear the guards forcing their way into the room and spreading out to search.  As Wei-Li braced herself in the chute, someone from above dumped a cart load of sheets down the chute.

Several of the guards found the tracks at the windows and began scrambling through.  Two remained in the room looking around and taking stock of the area-- making sure that someone hadn't left a false trail.
