Torrance Station: Entertainment Sector

This section of the station is even more festive then the commerce sector.  Neon lights shine everywhere.  Street preformers and theatres, resturaunts and hotels.  If you're looking to really have a good time on Torrance Station this is where you want to be.

Re: Torrance Station: Entertainment Sector

Ren's smile widened as they entered the entertainment section, his drawn to many of the Neon signs, so many things to do, and so little time. He pulled Acacia close as the paused out of the main path of the foot traffic, nuzzling her neck, he whispered in her ear, "So what do you want to do first?"

"Aww, hun, don't get too excited.  We've got the better part of the day."  She scratched the back of his head lightly, looking back around the station.  "I am a bit peckish...we could get something small to eat.  Nothing grand, just something we can't get on the ship.  Fresh vegetables that aren't processed, maybe?  Meat that hasn't been frozen for a month?  Especially with all those seasonings that we'll never bring with us on the ship, since we're out in the sky the whole time.  Stuff that someday, when we're not cruising the skies, we'll have..."

Ren smiled, "We'll have it all someday, whatever makes you happy." They walked a litte further when he smelt the smells of fresh food, "I think this place will fit your bill for a meal." He said a smirk as he steered her toward the restaurant.

Acacia walked with Ren into the restaurant, holding Ren's hand as she walked, lifting her nose up in the air.  "Mmm...I'm sure we'll have it all someday, I wasn't complaining.  Only getting treats every so often is part of what makes them so special.  Why don't you go get us two plates of something good, and I'll find us a clean table, kay?"  She arched up on her toes, kissing his cheek and then walked into the mess of tables, trying to find one that was just perfect.

Re: Torrance Station: Entertainment Sector

Suddenly the normal bustle and sounds of the space station seemed to disappear altogether - completely drowned out beneath the pierching wail of a siren.  It seemed to shake the very air with its intensity and reverberated in everyone's ears.  It also sent the station into complete and utter chaos.  Screams echoed against the walls, people began running in all directions - those that didn't know what the siren meant were left staring dumbly at the odd and terrifying shift in atmosphere.

Re: Torrance Station: Entertainment Sector

Acacia had been in the midst of walking through the tables, looking around for something that wasn't dirty.  She wasn't a primadonna that insisted that things be spotless...they weren't on Persephone, after all.  However, the absence of what might be things such as spit or spilled lager couldn't be too much to ask, could it?  The least that someone could ask for was just a spot to sit with someone you loved over a warm meal and not worry about what your elbow was sitting in.

Then the siren went off.  Acacia's hands immediately covered her ears, looking around with wide eyes.  The place was exploding into cacaphony, people running left and right and knocking over tables.  She couldn't see Ren through the uproar of bodies that had moved, and it felt like she was under the gorram siren where she stood.

"Ren!"  Acacia screamed over the sirens, trying to stay out of the panic's way, being knocked left and right.  "Ren, where are you?!"

Re: Torrance Station: Entertainment Sector

Something good ... Ren had to smile at how specific Acacia was as he looked over the menu options - although given what they normally had to eat 'something good' was a pretty decent suggestion, anything good was something to look forward to.  He was in the middle of deciding between the pot roast or steak when suddenly the sound of sirens pierced the air.

"What the -" Ren said, but was cut off as he was pushed roughly to the side as people began running every which way, "No need ta be sayin' 'xcuse me, I don' mind!" he called after a particularly large man who'd elbowed him in the ribs, "Gorram crazy people ..." he muttered as he began to search for Acacia.  Sirens were never a good thing - but certainly no call for blind panic.

"Reavers!  Oh God, oh God!!!" a woman shouted and Ren's blood turned cold.

Reavers ... Acacia .... I gotta find her! Ren was off immediatley, running with the rest of them.  Gorram Reavers

"Acacia!  'Cacia!!!!" he shouted but he couldn't see her anywhere, she was so short she disappeared beneath the crowds of people.  Ren jumped ontop of one of the tables, "Acacia!! Aw come on Acacia baby where are you?" he was just yelling now, panic was rising in his chest, he had to find her, he had to get her out of here ... oh God, Reavers ... Ren felt sick.  He felt like he couldn't breathe, "Acacia!!" he shouted for the thousandth time, tears were springing to his eyes now as real fear set in - he may never see her again, "'Cacia!"

Re: Torrance Station: Entertainment Sector

"Ren!"  Acacia screamed over the throng, trying her best to find him through the bodies that surged around her.  For a brief second, she saw him; standing on a table as the hero, shouting out and scanning the crowd.  She raised her hand to signal him until a man carrying a large bag ran into her, sending her spinning into the crowd and sliding across the floor.  She splashed into a mess of spilled food and liqour, the salts and booze stinging her eyes and overwhelming her senses.  She tried to get up, but was neatly stepped on by someone swinging past, a large boot stepping on her hand.

With a loud cry, Acacia managed to slide close to the wall, standing back up and keeping her slightly-crushed hand closer to her body, using the other arm to wave above a crowd that stood nearly two heads above her.  "Ren!  Help!"  I'm over here, Ren!  Look over here!

Re: Torrance Station: Entertainment Sector

Ren was just about to hop down from the table and try for a different vantage point when he caught a mop of bright red hair out of the corner of his eye - pressed against a wall a few feet away he could just make out the top of Acacia's head and her hand waving wildly above it.  Oh thank God ... he thought and began pushing his way through the crowd.  He had no regard for anyone else at the moment - all that mattered was getting to Acacia.  He swung his elbows and plowed through, no matter what happened he had to get her out of here - he had to get her back to Destiny and off this god forsaken space station.

"Acacia!!" he shouted as she suddenly came into view again - he'd been pushing blindly through the crowd, trusting his pilot's natural sense of direction to guide him towards her.  He sprinted the last few steps and wrapped her in his arms.  She was a mess but he still held her close - there was no time for any words though.  His embrace became a run.  One arm around her as he pushed his way through the crowds, "We gotta move fast, baby, we gotta go." he said.

Re: Torrance Station: Entertainment Sector

Acacia held onto Ren as they ran, resorting to holding his hand as they moved, going as fast as she could.  They hadn't gotten far from the ship, and surely they had to get back...but why were they running?  Maybe there was a pressure collapse, and the air was venting out to space...but wouldn't she know if that was happening?  Wouldn't shutters be closing off whole sections to protect the people?  There should be so much happening.

"Ren!"  She shouted over the people, her short legs trying to keep up with his longer stride.  "What the hell is going on?!"

Re: Torrance Station: Entertainment Sector

Ren noticed Acacia was struggling to keep up, and he be damned if he'd let them monsters get her, she was only thing completely right in his life about now, he changed his pace to allow her to navigate the crowds with him. He looked her in the eyes, "Reavers, its Reavers." He said quietly, his voice showing the terror he felt. "We have to get the ship."

Re: Torrance Station: Entertainment Sector

"REAVERS?!"  Acacia's throat cracked as she screamed, trying to look back over her shoulder as they ran.  It was just madness behind them, people running back and forth and the sounds of destruction cutting through the wailing of the siren.  She'd heard a million things about Reavers, but she'd never seen one.  Maybe the rest of the crew had, and maybe they hadn't...but she had wanted to see one.  She knew that there was cause to be afraid, they'd all heard the stories.  That didn't mean that she couldn't want to know more, however.

Today, however, was not the day for that.  She simply didn't want to die, and didn't want Ren to die.  "Go go go!"  She shouted, more to herself as she pumped harder with her legs, trying to go as fast as she could.
