Santo: Prisma Casino

This beautiful 22 story hotel and casino is home to the young, rich, and pretty.  The tall white building is quite breathtaking, its extremely modern architectural design alone is enough to bring the lookie-loos.  Inside is an extravagant world of gambling, shows, and high-class company.  However, despite its pristine appearance, the Prisma is known for its even more profitable underground gambling.  This casino has corruption down to an art, after all, absolute power corrupts absolutely and the men and women that play at the Prisma Casino have a lot of power.

Re: Santo: Prisma Casino

The crew of Destiny has finally managed to get itself back on its feet.  After a trying past few months things are starting to go back to normal.  The absence of Ren and Acacia is still felt but the ships newest members have begun to find a home on board the old freighter.  Most relationships have been mended and although there are still some unanswered questions between members of the crew life has been peaceful.

However, after a few months of excitement and trials the crew has discovered that the cash flow has come to a sputtering halt.  The crew needs a job and soon.  First rule of the black is to keep flying.  Fortunately, one of Kale's contacts managed to put him in touch with the infamous Sin Twins.  The girls are probably the most ... unpredictable of contacts, one can never be quite certain what they're getting into when dealing with them.  But one thing is for certain, the pay-out is always good.  The crew has set up a meeting with the twins in a casino on Santo to get more details about the possible job.

Re: Santo: Prisma Casino

[From Destiny: Cargo Bay]

Kale led the way through the crowded streets of Delta, the city that the Prisma was located in.  Delta was well known for its extravagant casinos and hotels and so it attracted a large number of tourists on a daily basis.  The streets were full of vacationers mainly or dead beats looking to put themselves even further into debt.

The crowd didn't impede Kale much, however, he had been to Delta a number of times before - with Nate.  If you were looking for a good time Delta was the city to go to.  It was a good 5 hours from his hometown but it was well worth the travel time when they were younger.  Now he easily navigated by landmarks eventually leading the three of them right up to the Prisma Casino.

He'd only been to the Prisma once before - in fact he and Nate had been thrown out of the place for poking their noses around where they didn't belong ... well, that and the fact that they hadn't even been old enough to be down in the casino area.  A pang of grief hit Kale and he quickly pushed all thoughts of the past from his mind.  This was no time to be reminiscing.  He had a job to do and most likely a tricky one.

"This here's the place." he told Geoff and Rhaef.

Re: Santo: Prisma Casino

[From Destiny: Cargo Bay]

Geoff felt the two pistols concealed beneath his jacket stir in their holsters.  He hated crowds.  He may not ever be accused of being the world's smartest man, but if there was one thing Geoff knew well, it was tactics.  And Delta's streets were one of the most tactically unsound environments he'd ever found himself in.  The potential for a lethal ambush was concealed within every city block, around every corner, on every rooftop.  Collateral damage would be high, of course, but Geoff was used to dealing with people who couldn't care less.

He forced himself to stay focused as they navigated through the crowd and along the streets.  Still, every now and again his mind drifted to Wei-Li and Dake.  He wondered what they'd be doing, how well they'd hit it off, whether or not Geoff had truly closed that door for good.  He hoped not, but quickly reminded himself that a wandering mind meant complacency, and complacency meant death.

Kale eventually stopped outside the Prisma Casino.  Geoff smiled.  He was looking forward to meeting the Twins and seeing what they had in mind.  He had little reason to doubt that this latest job would be a doozie.  And he was never one to shy away from a dangerous challenge.

Re: Santo: Prisma Casino

Kale glanced over at the two men with him, his gaze going first to Rhaef for his impression and then to Geoff without him even noticing.  Years of flying together had ingrained a certain level of dependence on his former first mate and that was not going away overnight.  It was to Geoff that he spoke to however.

"You an' I will go to the front desk.  Rhaef hang back, no need to be pullin' any more attention to the fact that yer loaded then necessary."

He didn't wait for either of their responses before moving into the casino and up to the front desk.  A pretty blonde was seated behind it with a carefully rehearsed "pleasant" expression across her face.  It seemed to just barely conceal boredom.

"Hello there Miss.  I'm supposed ta be meetin' some friends 'o mine here, name of Buckley?"

The blonde's smile suddenly became genuine and ... amused?  She quickly schooled her features back into that bland pleasant expression however and looked down at the computer screen in front of her.

"Your name?" she asked.

"Kale Galway." he replied promptly eying the blonde, he didn't much like the smile that had crossed her face.  He casually glanced behind him, picking out where Rhaef was standing away from him and Geoff.

Re: Santo: Prisma Casino

The woman typed a few things into her terminal and then looked back up at Kale and Geoff, "They're expecting you.  Take the elevator to the twenty-third floor, you'll need this." she handed a small key-card across the desk to Kale, "You'll find them in the Penthouse Plaza."

Re: Santo: Prisma Casino

Kale took the card from the woman and nodded, listening to her directions, "Thank you kindly." he said with a smile and then turned away from the front desk and moved towards the elevator.  He waited for both Geoff and Rhaef to join him before closing the doors, glad that they were the only ones on the lift.

He looked at the buttons and sure enough there was no button, only a slot to swipe the key card beside the number "23".  Kale swiped the card and the elevator moved upward.

Re: Santo: Prisma Casino

The elevator rose up in the building, bringing them to a top floor that was more decorated than the one below it.  The ground floor certainly had been exquisite with high walls and rich carpets, but there was a different feeling up higher.  The windows extended to the roof, and the furniture was placed sparsely about the room.  It was the best money could buy in town, and that in itself was a feature.  The stretch of Santo could be seen through the windows, and it had to be a breathtaking view at night when the surface was lit up like a sea of stars.

"On the table is fine, thank you."

The voice came from behind a partition, a sing-song female voice that seemed mostly business.  She must have expected room service, motioning with a manicured nail towards the solid mahogany table in the center of the room.  There was a few seconds of silence, the tone leaving an uncertainty in the air.  The elevator doors slid shut behind the three, the soft hum of the motor heralding it's departure.  A shock of red hair appeared around the edge, turning towards the three and blinking with a large pair of green eyes.  "Oh, Kale...pardon me, I figured you were the wine.  I didn't know you were bringing two, though."

Allie slipped out of view, the shuffling of cloth coming from behind the partition.  Allie stepped out as she tied the sash on a white robe, her bare feet making almost no sound against the carpeted floor.  Her bright red hair brought out her pale skin, and the shorter cut of the robe seemed to hug her in just the right places.  She gave them a daring smile, turning her head towards the adjacent room with a wink.  "Sister!  Our guests are here!"

Re: Santo: Prisma Casino

The woman that emerged from the room could have been the first woman's reflection.  A shock of bright red hair cut in the exact same style topped a pale round face with identical green eyes.  She was also clothed in the same short white robe that alluringly grazed her upper thighs as she walked.

Where Allie's expression was bright, Callie stepped towards the men with a pout, "I was hoping for the wine." she said, then taking in Kale and the men he had brought with him one corner of her mouth twitched upwards, a hint of a mischievous smile, "I see you brought some goodies with you though." she glanced at her sister and both their eyes settled on Rhaef with identical smiles, "We didn't expect to see you again, suger, word had it you were dead."

"Dead to the world, thankfully.  Not dead to us."  Allie's sentence began just where Callie's left off, the complete change not seeming to phase either one of them.  She stepped alongside her sister, approaching Kale and his companions, visually sizing all of them up.  "We can't have you running around, throwing that pretty face in danger.  Don't make us regret letting you off the planet last time, please?"

Re: Santo: Prisma Casino

"Allie, Callie," Rhaef said with a practiced patience, he was a different man since the last time he'd encountered the twins. "I guess I should be thankin' you for the compliments, m'ams, but if I remember rightly, at least one of y'all of was ready to do the deed you speak of yourselves, last time we come through here."

Figuring he'd said enough, he stepped back away from the table, to let Kale and Geoff conduct business, he, afterall, was just the hired gun. "Cap'n," he said, in a tone to dripped with deference, "do you want me to guard the door, or stay in the room?"

Even as he spoke, his eyes were scanning the room, for cameras, traps or other exits. The penthouse did create problems because the windows effectively were eliminated as exits, unless Kale and Geoff had grown wings in the interim that he did not know about.

The reality though, keeping his eyes moving also kept them off the Twins, who quite frankly were at the seductive best at the moment. Thankfully, thoughts of Charlie were fortifying him against that temptation. But its always better to not see the bottle, if you want to ensure that you don't get drunk.

Re: Santo: Prisma Casino

Kale's eyes had widened slightly at the  ... unorthodox attire the ladies were wearing to their business meeting.  The tight, short robes left very little to the imagination and Kale had to focus his attention to keep his mind on business.  Which was probably exactly what the twins were aiming at.  Kale frowned.

He turned his head toward Rhaef as both twins addressed him.  Rhaef had said he knew them in an ... intimate way.  Kale was hoping that that wasn't going to be a problem.

"Way I see it ladies we ain't come all this way ta be reminicin'." he said, hopefully putting an end to conversations that centered around them and his former first mate.  He eyed Rhaef a moment, deciding whether or not it might be better to send him outside to guard the door.  Rhaef's face was set though, the girls didn't seem to be causing any problems with him so Kale shook his head, "You can stay here.  Girls seems more comfortable with a friendly face present." he smiled at the twins, "As long as we can keep this here conversation ta business."

Re: Santo: Prisma Casino

Rhaef nodded, "Certainly Cap'n," R

haef said with his head still bowed slightly deferentially, as he backed away from the table to position himself close to still pay attention to the conversation, but also cover the door if a problem arose. Even with his head down slightly did not mean that Rhaef was not paying attention. In fact his eyes were darting around the room taking everything in to make sure he knew as much as he could, while his ears remained opened to the conversation to listen what was both said and not said. None of this required much of effort for Rhaef, the years of serving as Curio's right hand man had made the observation, listening and deference almost second nature to him.

A brief trace of smirk crossed his lips as he realized that finally something from his days as the Black Hand would bring Destiny something more than pain.

Callie pouted at Rhaef's words, her lower lip protruding just slightly.  It was extremely becoming on her round face, "You can hardly blame us." she said, "You were a dangerous man in those days," the pout quirked up into a seductive smile, "Couldn't run the risk of our puppy getting us into trouble." Callie laughed lightly and then turned her attention to Kale has he stepped in.

She pouted once more and glanced at her sister, "He's no fun."

"No fun for a man of your stature at all.  No no no, you need to relax."  Allie stepped up behind her sister, giving Rhaef a wink.  "My sister and I have drawn a bath in the other room.  Maybe it would clear your thoughts to let those muscles work it out?"

Allie stepped alongside Kale, giving him a smile, smelling of perfume and oil as her curves pressed against his arm.  "Pleeeeease, Kale?  We promise that it won't be any trouble.  Nothing like the last time, I assure you."

"You drew a ... what?" Kale felt his cheeks coloring as Callie ... or was it Allie? ..., no way to keep it straight, pressed herself up against him.  She felt warm and her smell was intoxicating.  It'd been a long time he started thinking and then shook his head.

"No, no, I'm not fallin' fer no feminine wiles so you just keep yer bathwater to yer own self.  You said you had a job an' I'm - I'm here fer the job.  Nothin' funny." Kale said as directly as he could but he could still feel the flush on his face and knew that it was ruining his good image.

"What's the deal?"

Re: Santo: Prisma Casino

Rhaef smirked very briefly as the Twins went to work on Kale. Rhaef had warned the Captain about this game prior to their departure and Kale was holding up better than most men, including both Curio and Rhaef himself, had in the past.

The longer they were in the room, the more Rhaef watched the game the Twins were playing, the easier it became for him to ignore their inuendos and invitations.

Rhaef could tell that Kale was ready to conduct business, so his attention turned to Geoff to see if he would crack on this game that the Twins were running because after Rhaef and Kale, that's where the Twins would turn next.
