Don't you worry about a thing, Auto. We'll get the two of us into melee one way or another!

And did you remember to add +2 to your save due to Elderon's Protection From Evil 10' Radius?

If it does, cool:) (It should - +2 on any saves from attacks/spells launched by evil creatures, so...)

You can help take out the chain devil or knock those Boots of Speed or jump on Icy's back and we can join Calen against the avatar!

In my opinion a 10% morale bonus would also translate to +2 on a saving throw given the nature of the attack which is essentially an assault against the psyche.  As long as WG is in agreement given that he is the boss, that would be +4 all up to this save Auto.\

I don't think this is the case for Auto, but potentially the bonuses for a high wisdom could be argued to aid a character as well.

These little bonuses don't seem like much, but they tip the balance.

GNOLLSBANE FINDING DESTINY

There is some hilarious dialog in this thread... thief-tossing Auto like a dwarf!

What has gone undiscussed, like the elephant in the room, is the fate of our dear friend- the one you could legitimately toss already- Kribli. She's become a whirling fire tornado of something, and I sure hope this is just an illusion gone bad and not real character death.

"Kribli's form starts to spin, until she has become a small tornado.  Then the tornado catches fire, creating a blazingit  column that reaches into the sky. "

She's going through stages of the elements- air and fire- so I'm not sure what is next.

In the past round she was dancing about and I thought perhaps her wand of wonder had given HER an Otto's Irresistible Dance spell. She's like an entire evening of America's Got Talent all crammed into one contestant.

By the way, I looked up 'becoming a flaming tornado' in the Physician's Desk Reference and it said, "You're screwed."

Yeah it looks like she's empowered the chance spirit with the WOW and maybe thrown her own magic on it as well.  A flaming tornado at the moment, so maybe water and earth might also appear.  I was considering chucking a control winds spell over it all to really whip it into something mental, but decided this fight will be over before the chaos of that combination played out.

Seek shelter within the bounds of the PFE spell if it really gets messy.  At least the elemental is also hedged by that spell.

Go Kribli go!

I still think having a couple crazy chicks on the team is a hell of a lot scarier to our enemies than all the testosterone the rest of us can muster.

Actually, I'm not terribly clear on exactly what is going to happen with Kribli.  Some of it is her doing, but a lot of it is the spirit of chance, who's just a really friggin' cool NPC.

Unfortunately, I have no idea what the bastard's gonna do next!

LOL!

I'm actually looking forward to the rather impressive display, Kribli.

And whether good luck or bad luck it will at least prove entertaining and keep everyone on the battlefield on their toes! Can't think of a better partner to pair with a spirit of Chance = Kribli the Krazy, Avatar of Chance:)

Hoping we get to Calen before a raise dead is required.  Do we think the regenerate light wounds spell would stabilise any negative hit point drain once he fell unconscious?

Well, it's effectively a timed out, preset CLW so hopefully it functions to stabilize in the same manner. Either way, Icylius will hold the line as long as he can so someone can get our beloved ranger back on his feet.

Sorry to rain on your parade and dim the brilliance in which you bask oh great Kribli wooer of the caprice spirit of chance and slayer of gods, but this little tit-bit causes Elderon some concern.

"If the material form of a duke is destroyed, that arch-devil is bound to its own particular plane of Hell for a decade (unless again properly called forth prior to the end of the 10 years) and a great loss of face is suffered (and fury in Hell is unmatched then)."

We better sort out how to actually banish the dog god before the gnolls again sacrifice enough dragon blood or else all the good work you have done to date will be eclipsed in history by the reference to the term Kribli 'scrotum tickler' Dorlubbin which will be harder to erase from the records I'm sure.

Oh, well, that's just simple.  When he comes back, I'll kill him again.  And will do so each time he visits, until I die.  After which, it's someone else's problem.

And tickle yer own scrotum while yer talking smack, boring god guy...I'm busy having real fun.

GNOLLSBANE FINDING DESTINY

I think it's hilarious that the gnome just did it again.

Until I realized Wine Guy's evil plot twist.

This is really Frodo Dorlubbin, with faithful companion Siiithwise Gamgee, and she was fated long ago to slay the Dark Lord by dumping his ring (ass) in a hole of lava (or bottomless hell hole, same thing). Yeah, we have the talented archer guy, the aloof mage, the hot Elven princess, the moderately useful dude and the guy who thinks he is king. Our quest ended far from home and a pair of giant eagles appeared during our battle.

Now all we need is a summary montage and a cut-scene to where we are riding back into the Red Hill area. And a boatload of reward from the damn dragon that dropped us here.

I have to say - I knew exactly what I was doing the first go around.  I had no idea what I was doing the 2nd (except I did sacrifice a fire spirit to add some oomph to the flame strike).

Fun stuff...
