Adding New Characters

Hi, All,

Just wanting to confirm if I, as a GM, can do something before I try it and mess up my game.

I have players who are currently waiting out their Adult Access two weeks.  I would like to go ahead and enter their characters into the game before they get here so they will be ready to play "day one".

Since we use character spreadsheets (stored offsite) that take care of the math during creation, I'm thinking I can just create placeholder templates for new characters (using the concise Traveller format) and assign them to myself until everyone gets here, then transfer them to the appropriate players when I add them to the game.

Are there any pitfalls to this approach, or is there a better approach I should consider?

Thanks,
D

That approach is the only approach that would work - all characters have to be assigned to somebody and, unless you want them assigned to other players, you are that somebody.

That's what I thought.  Thanks for confirming that.
