New to RPoL

Hello everyone! I'm new here, and to PbP in general. Been playing tabletop for a long time though. I've been perusing a bit, and I think I mostly have a grasp on how things work.

Couple quick questions that weren't in the FAQ:

1. Is there a site-wide preference for how often someone has to post in game or is that up to the GM?

2. Is there a site-wide preference for how many words or characters are used in a post?

I essentially just am looking for an overview of the social etiquette, as this is new to me, yet I imagine I'll enjoy it very much.

Welcome!

Frequency and length/style of posts go by each GM's preference.

Enjoy!

Thanks for the info. That's what I'd guessed.

'ello! :)

I'm new too. Been here for a few weeks now. Social environment varies widely from game to game, I've noticed!

I'll make sure to check around and try to look at some other games then, and see how people are handling it.

Good idea! :) Join a few different types of games, too - lots of systems in use here, from super crunchy dice rolling mania to total freeform. Might find something you like that's totally new! :)

I'm in 3 games, and they are all very different experiences.
