Hey everyone! I was looking for a play-by-post RP site since I'm going to be moving around a bit during the summer and won't always have the ability to Skype or meet face to face for RPing. I thought this was a site mainly for tabletop gaming, but I've browsed around a bit and saw that there were a lot of freeform RP games as well. Which sounds really interesting!

I'm pretty much familiar only with DnD 5e, but I've been looking into FATE and SRS both. I'm usually a DM as well, but I'd like to try experiencing being a player. Or, who knows, really. I'm just here to have fun.

Well, nice to meet everyone! Hopefully I'll start getting involved with the nitty gritty of the site soon!

There is certainly lots to see and do on RPoL, and lots of enjoyment to be had.

If I can suggest it, take some time to read in the Help and FAQs, as the culture here is a bit less free-wheeling than one might at first think.  There are very definite rules in place, and the folks who make things run take them seriously.  (In fairness, they kinda have to.)

That said, once you know your way around, there's a lot of gaming goodness to be found here.  Whether you like your games crunchy-technical or creamy-dreamy,  you're almost certain to find something to suit your tastes.
