I'm new to pbp, but I've played various editions of D&D, Call of Cthulhu, Pathfinder, and Rogue Trader. Am willing to learn different systems.

I'm here to make some friends and have some fun! If anyone knows of any newbie-friendly games that might be recruiting or if anyone has advice for someone like me, please let me know.

Ahem, sorry...yeah, welcome to RPOL :D. Check out the "Players Wanted" and/or "GMs Wanted" sections if you are looking to either play or host a game. There's also an FAQ section and a nice Help section (links in top right corner) if you get stuck with anything :). There are plenty of games here under all different kinds of systems, and some of the ones you've mentioned are among the most popular so you shouldn't have any great trouble finding potential games to join :D.

Ameena has covered the basics, and you'd do well to dig in where s/he's indicated.

If you decide to become a GM, definitely check out the GM Help!  There is a great toolkit here for those who want to run games.
