So I am an old Time Gamer.  Yes, I was there when the 1st edition of AD&D came out back when playing D&D was considered Devil worship by the main stream.  Just trying to get a feel for the website and maybe join a game or two.  Does anyone here play Warhammer Fantasy Roleplay?  I played that game when I was stationed in Germany in my teens and have tried for a while to find a group online that plays but have still had no luck.  Look forward to conversing with new people and falling into the Role of my chosen character.

I would suggest searching the Players Wanted thread to see if there are any active games that interest you. You could so put a post in the GM wanted thread in case someone was getting an itch to run some Warhammer. Welcome to the site, it can be a little daunting at first but well worth it in my opinion.

Warhammer Fantasy...now, that brings back a few memories.  I didn't play it a lot, only for maybe a year or so while I was in college.  We had just gotten to the point where everyone was familiar with the system and had some clear ideas of where they wanted to go with their characters, and the GM up and moved out of state.  Nobody else had the books or the available funds to go out and get them, and we had too many other games waiting in the wings...

Welcome, Darklin. You'll be happy to know there are a lot of grognards here. I can't speak to Warhammer, but I have enjoyed playing AD&D 1e or OSRIC games run by Winter51, CaptainHellrazor, and ben_reck, if you want to put in an RTJ next time any of them are looking for players. On the Main Menu, it's always best to check out the Wanted - Players thread to see if any games spark your interest. From what I've noticed, there are tons of games from free-form to Sandbox to Pathfinder to D&D5e gaming systems. I’m sure you’ll find something that sparks your interest.

Or perhaps you have a game idea and don’t want to run it and want to look for a GM? Then you’ll want to head to Wanted - GMs; perhaps you’ll want to GM someone else’s idea.

Wanna join idle conversation? The Community Chat thread from the main menu is the best place to engage in interesting conversations from the community.

We as a whole are always willing to help out to newly registered users so don't be afraid to reach out.

Welcome old timer!  I too remember the days of DnD devil worship and backwards playing an LP had devil lyrics on them!!!!  LOL

I run freeform games so no help on the systems games but you will find a myriad of system games with great GMs {DMs}.  Feel free to ask any questions as we are all here to help  :)
