Speaking of fresh meat - I only have access to the first edition book at the moment. What else do I need to know, aside from the basics? How many Skill Ranks, do I get any free gear, etc?

There are lots of little changes, but mostly, yes, Skills.  You get 1 Artisan and 2 Knowledge Skills, the 2 Ranks in Speak Language and 1 in Read/Write Language, and then free Ranks equal to your Perception Step.

Oh - Calypte's wounds are there - and, as far as Aeric can tell, totally real.  It's just that by far most of her damage came from Mazdor and Korentin.  The creatures had barely touched her; the PCs never missed.  Isn't that how it always goes, though?  "I give Bob a hearty slap on the back in encouragement! Hahah, here, I'll roll damage just for...oh.  Apparently I've just snapped Bob's spine in six places."

Do people want to wait another half hour for Korentin to do a Physician Roll for Mazdor also?  Or should he do his basic Unconscious Wake-Up Recovery Test?  (It's kind of funny to think that he has the choice of waiting to wake up until he can do it better, but... I have no problems with it.)

If Korentin is doing his Physicking, what does everyone else want to do?  Hang out in the hallway, or is anybody going to get curious enough to chance the throne room?
