Oooh, you have a map showing the Suberbs, the South River and the Light Industry Zone. In addition, you have heard a group of Restorationists have taken over a factory somewhere in the Light Industry Zone and are stockpiling technology.

Plenty of rumours to go around! For example, you have heard that the tunnels that run under the Suberbs are infested with dozens of Badder slaver groups.

Just a side note, Merlot and I get two alpha mutation draws and we can pick the best one.

General FYI:

My spouse has decreed that we're leaving for my in-laws tonight, not tomorrow, and we'll be there through at least Friday evening.  They're very understanding about my jones for online activity, so I will probably be able to check in a few times, but expect delays through the weekend (especially since someone wants to go see the new Harry Potter movie on Friday).

 Hmm, trying to get my mind around being a "Swarm" instead of a single being. Also kinda curious how a "Swarm" can carry around a backpack with equipment.?

Yes, that's a bit confusing, isn't it?

My initial response to learning of my character's peculiarities was along the lines of 'whaddya mean I'm a flaming swarm of rats?!?!?'  Also confusing is how and why we get riding animals...

It does say you swarm bodies work together so well you can make a humanoid body made of 100's of smaller bodies. As for the fire, one can assume you can turn it off, or just burn certain things, or parts of yourself. Otherwise you could not hold any equipment...or eat...

Well the fire is kind of always on I had assumed from the rules, Ordus has just reskinned all his equipment and mount as fireproof (hence my comment about asbestos sheets at the hotel).

From what I see from the rules you are free to refluff your weapons and armour however you want, from a man-sized pile of rats holding a sword, to a bunch of individual rates all holding dinner knives. Finding a combination that makes sense is what I like about the Gamma World chargen :)

Also it's taking me some time to do the combat map, will post tomorrow.
