Re: Back from the Past

Found him in the arena.  Not really useful, unless you're telling me you'd like to swap him for Borin, in which case I'd have to give him a closer look.

No but I had to mention it ... Borin belongs here.
But he is a rogue and does need a region. :)

Re: Back from the Past

I'll keep that in mind the next time I'm hunting for a rogue. I'd almost suggest bringing him to Chult, but the difference in power is a bit extreme. On a slightly different note, we may have a possible rogue on the way. In the meantime, I'll just NPC Khidrath.

It would be good to have a Rogue who can find traps and open locks. :)

Re: Back from the Past

I have a potential replacement rogue.  I'll give him another day or so to get a character together, and if he isn't done by then, I'll just NPC Khidrath.

Re: Back from the Past

Here's hoping that I have more luck keeping this rogue than I usually do. For some reason, they don't seem to last very long... wonder if it's something I'm doing.

Re: Back from the Past

*giggles*  I need to get back to playing more rogues.  I like clerics, but I really only like them so much because it means I get to help everybody else.  None of my rogues are ever real thieves, but they sure are fun to play with all those skills and everything, especially when I play halflings or tieflings.  I really like that.

Re: Back from the Past

*nods* I drifted into clerics myself, largely because when I ask what's missing in a party, the answer is most often cleric. It's fun to be able to heal those who are hurting, and with the variety of FR gods, there's plenty of room for variety, even with a single class cleric. One of these days I'm going to play an evil manipulative cleric though, who leverages healing into controlling people...

Tell that to the geniuses designing the 4E Forgotten Realms.  :p

Why? It's not like they'd listen.

Mature roleplayers don't seem to fit their target audience.

Re: Back from the Past

The sad thing is that I'm sure the new FRCS will sell much better than the old one, if only because it has that drow ranger that everyone seems to like on the cover. . .  :|

Re: Back from the Past

And DM Annihilator has approved my sheet, so I'm good to go. Though I may need to change things later on if the alternate class features I have aren't approved.

So it's up to the DM here, I guess.

Re: Back from the Past

I just have to figure out how to get you in, now. I have two quick choices. Either you're crazy enough to be wandering Undermountain alone and just stroll into the back of the group while Khidrath's throwing fits about not wanting to work on blood covered traps. OR Khidrath triggers a trap that casts a random baleful transposition spell, and you find yourself whisked from a situation where you're facing almost certain death, and dropped into Undermountain, facing uncertain death. :- ) Preference?

I'm going to go ahead and retire Laerwen.  That should make things a bit easier on Jim when he's able to post and then leave some space for a PC when things are better for him.

Re: Back from the Past

Jim posted this to the DM's Lounge back on 30th June:

DM Jim:
Folks, I'm having severe depression problems right now and don't feel like doing anything with anything.  If people are lookong for me, please let them know and I'll be back when I can.

And he hasn't returned yet, so we're rather worried.

Undermountain, like all of Jim's regions, has been listed as needing a DM since the beginning of the year when he'd said he wanted to cut back. Still no luck on a DM yet. :(

You Undermountaineers have two options: one, to wait and be patient here until Jim or another DM shows up, no idea how long that could be. Or two, try to transfer to another game, but not many are open, and you'll be splitting up the gang.

Just a note: If the DM will have me in the Silver Marches Region I will be heading that way. I really enjoy the Undermountain but with no DM....
