Orophear, finally freed of the webs, reached into one of the many pouches on his belt and produced a small potion bottle which he happily swigged. He could feel the effects of the fatigue finally giving way.

Still reeling from the vicious strike from the dwarf Orophear says a quick word of power and blinks out of sight appearing about 10 feet behind Gwendol. Once the spell clears Orophear moves out along the wall as quickly as possible until he breaks out of the darkness.

OOC: Ok, I'm down to 1 HP. You guys win, I give up. I never even got a friggin attack off. Good job though. Now, I'm not whining but maybe two on one may be a little lopsided.

Me thinks yer right. Gwendol be a bit tougher than his ECL would indicate and Garath isn't a piece of cake either. Thanks for the praise though, it's appreciated!

And while two-on-one may have been something of an overmatch (the official rules notwithstanding), don't be too hard on yourself...  the reason you didn't get an attack off was that Garath was too scared of you to let you get an attack off.  You made excellent use of your point-teleportation ability, and your potion of restoration wiped out Garath's attempted debuff.  If you'd lasted just a little longer, you'd have moved out of our spheres of darkness and really started to lay the hurt on Gwendol with your attack spells.

Gwendol, maybe we could try an ECL 7 next?  And a wizard to boot?  Tarlassana is looking for challengers...  two on one shouldn't be an overmatch in her case, she's a mage and can conjure up more help if she needs it :)

The mephit looks about - generally, the arena attendants came in to scatter sand over the bloodstains and otherwise tidy up the place after a combat, but they were nowhere in sight.  On strike?  Or is it some festival week?

*No matter.*  Garath flies over to Orophear to shake his hand and heal some of his wounds.  "What shall you have to drink, once the gate opens and we get back to the meeting area?  First round is on me!"

With a slight limp, smoke still trailing from the fiery blast that last hit the elf he takes the small creatures claw and shakes it.
"I will have anything that will take the pain away." the wounded elf said with a sardonic smirk."You two fight well together. Mayhaps we should team up and take on one of the many creatures they have stored here."

"I would like that very much, Master Mithrandir."  The young wizard pauses, and listens to something.  "Do you hear that?  Sounds like a harmonica, playing some Vast-style tune...  De-de-doo, wah wah wah. De-de-doo wah wah-wah waah...  Must be coming from one of the other arenas."

He turns his face up toward the ceiling.  "Halloooo!  Anyone there?  Sounds like an interesting match taking place - can someone open the portal so we can get ourselves to the spectator galleries?"

The tavern shook and a booming voice came down from on high. "I am Garagos the Reaver, god of battle! Let us watch this test of bloody combat, but know that this battle is fought on the Material Plane, so the warriors will be unaware of spectators and their cheering. And they risk death in pursuit of battle-skill. I find this good."
