Re: Elidin Rythorn vs. Nalia

Elidin walked out into the arena his usual smile. Once the doors closed behind him he reached into himself and tapped into his celestial heritage and blessed himself. Once the warmth of the spell subsided the Dragon Shaman slid the great sword on his back from it's sheath and swung it around to loosen up.

Re: Elidin Rythorn vs. Nalia

Nalia materialized on the red dot and frowned. She knew this arena, she had fought Tarlassana here. A smug grin came to her face when she thought of the clever tactics Arlessana had used together with her to overcome the seemingly untouchable wizard's defences. The surprised expression on the elf's face danced before her inner eye for an instant before she turned to her current opponent. Swiftly she protected herself with a transparent disc of force then drew her scimitar and touched it gently while mouthing a spell. Lastly she drew a wand from her belt, holding it ready.

Re: Elidin Rythorn vs. Nalia

Nalia cocked her head, wondering where her oponent had gone when she heard the sliding noise of the door being blocked. She realized he had be in one of the rooms to the north. Marching back she walked through the northern door and saw Elidin. For the fraction of a second she smiled gently, he really looked nice, but then her martial training took over and she tossed the grey matter together with a few arcane syllables at him. The clump of ashes burst into fire and stroked towards its target...

Re: Elidin Rythorn vs. Nalia

Elidin's smiled at the young woman that came through the door. The smile quickly disappeared when he saw the spell activate and the fire streak towards him. The Dragon Shaman did not have time to dodge and sucked in as the fire exploded, scorching his exposed flesh. Out of pure reaction Elidin released the dagger he held and then fell back into the stock room, the door swinging shut behind him, and he stumbled to the door he had just barred.

Nalia gasped from the pain of the wound the dagger struck, but grit her teeth. Seeing the young man retreat she wondered if she should follow or let him be, a running battle just was not her kind. Re: Elidin Rythorn vs. Nalia

Elidin gasped in surprise when Nalia charged him then in pain as her scimitar sliced right through his midsection. The Shaman could feel the magic of her stored spell released into him and he instantly grew even weaker(Save 12:fail). In pure desperation the Shaman stepped back into the stockroom and slapped his belt activating the final two charges, his wounds closing and the flow of blood stopping but he was still in dire straits. Elidin knew there was little time left in this dual so he reached inside and activated one of the gifts granted him by his patron, his body enveloping in an ice blue glow. It would seem the gods were smiling down on Nalia this day.

Re: Elidin Rythorn vs. Nalia

Nalia couldn't help but feel respect for the dragon shaman, he had suffered very bad attacks but still didn't give up. But she was confident Fate was on her side. She watched him retreat through the door and when she followed him and kicked the door open she saw most of his injuries had been healed. A short look confirmed he was wearing a similar belt to hers. It didn't phaze her though, again she lifted her scimitar and swung it powerfully. Once more the blade slashed through Elidin's defenses. As the cold transferred through her sword Nalia shivered but didn't let go of her weapon.

Elidin grunted as Nalia's weapon once again sliced through his flesh. The Dragon Shaman's clothing was becoming more blood than anything else. The Shaman hefted his sword, his muscles not responding like they once would due to the fatigue caused by Nalia's spell, and he swung missing wildly.

Re: Elidin Rythorn vs. Nalia

Nalia easily dodged the clumsy attack of Elidin, it was obvious her spell had affected him badly. She bit her lip thinking about his words. "I would be honored if we could take a drink once this is over." she said, quickly swinging her scimitar backwards while the shaman was still unbalanced. Fate was with her today and the weapon connected soundly again. The sorceress noticed the cold creeping up her arm, she couldn't do this forever...
