Anton vs. Gwendol



Anton starts in BLUE

Gwendol starts in RED

The blue and red squares can be used as safe areas or for other purposes, as you like.

The ground is earth covered in cropped grass. A rope fence surrounds the area.

As the hawk swoops down to scratch him, Gwendol strikes back with his greatsword, now humming with divine powers. The agile bird narrowly avoids the sharp blade.

Anton, I've read some rules concnring sharing spells with the familiar and have spotted a few errors in the way you have handled it. The first is that you can't share touch spells, unless the target of the spell is you. This means you have to decide wether the hawk or you will hold the charge; not both.

Second is that the way the spell is described it isn't possible to flurry: one hand glows blue, and you can't flurry with just one hand. The extra attack from haste does grant the use of chill touch however, as would multiple attacks from having a high enough BAB.
Finally hawk has a reach of 0 ft which means Gwendol gets an AoO for every attack he makes. I suggest you decide what to do with Chill touch and adjust your actions accordingly, depending on the outcome I might want to change my actions as well.

I wouldn't expect the hawk to provoke AOO's as you moved into it's space and it didn't leave.

A monk can make unarmed strikes with both hands full - any body part will do.
You can flurry with any part of the body, including knees, elbows, feet or hands, and you don't have to interchange the types of attacks - they can all come from the same limb (unless there's some ruling I'm not aware of).

Good point re chill touch - the hawk can't use it. For some reason I thought the target was myself (as it causes an effect on my hand), but it's not, so I can't use "Share Spells" to have the hawk deliver that spell.

I could have used the familiars to deliver touch spells however - except that I don't yet have that ability (sorc level 3), and it wouldnt allow both myself and the familiar to use the spell at the same time.

Take off the 1 point of damage from the hawk using chill touch, but I don't agree on the other points.

Re: FoB you are probably right, I just always figured it implied using different body parts/arms to deliver the attacks.
Re: the hawk you say it's 10' up, thus Gwendol does not enter it's space, and since it has to fly down to him to attack he does provoke an AoO. I'll take it now if you don't mind.

AoO against attacking hawk: Attack (29) hit, Damage (18), if Hector drops because of this Gwendol gets to attack Anton due to Cleave

Good point. He's now within your space, however, since he can't move back.
