OOC: Long delayed by weather and blackouts, but here it is.


Ayesha looked around the strange place, wondering on Faerun she'd gotten herself into now. Whatever it was, she needed a drink. Or stop drinking. Fumbling around her person, she found some of her hip-flasks and little bottles and drank one. "Gag! Potion! Ptooey!" Suddenly she felt a whole lot more sober. She didn't like it.

The next provoked a "Where did I go?" moment as she vanished from sight. Hmm. It could be useful, she guessed. "Hey, less gear makes you more stealthy, right? ...Goodbye, pants!"

Ah, there it was. Liquor. The hair of the dog that bit her last night when she got lost on someone's farm. She guzzled it down. "Ah, the good shtuff." Swaying and wobbling, she went for a wander, with a belch and a good scratch along the way.

OOC: Opening a door is a move action, so getting there and opening it will use up your turn.

...Ah, crap, that's strange. The map details say "All doors are reinforced wood, hinged to swing to either direction, and unbarred; they require a free action to open, and may be barred form either side as a MEA [move-equivalent action] by an adjacent character."

Hide 32 (+20 for Invisible)
Move Silently 20 - a closed door would add +5 (not included) but you'd still beat that. You'd hear sandals lightly flapping in the doorway.

By this particular map, it's a free action. (Maybe they're have no handle and only need a light push?).

I've played this map several times and always done it as a move action, and only noticed this oddity now. If I weren't currently a player looking to slow you down, I'd rule that it should function in 3.5 terms, as a move action.

And I'd say specific beats general, but I bow to your authority :-)

The hobgoblin started to wonder where the female monk had gone to, and wasn't she supposed to be fighting him? Grumbling silently he decided to start going through the rooms, and given her lust for alcohol he had a guess where she at least eventually would end up; the pantry.

Lift with your knees, Ayesha recalled, and crouched down to work her hands around the keg, lifted it with all the care as she would a baby. Her baby. And soon to go in her belly.

Cradling it, she turned around - and saw the hobgoblin waiting in the doorway! She'd rather hoped he not noticed her, and that she could some time in the pantry getting to know the keg. All by herself. Oh well.

"Here, help me with this, we'll go shareseys." the hovering keg offered.

The fists smashed into the keg, splintering the wood and erupting with ale. The amber fluid splashed all over the hobgoblin. "My keg!" Ayesha cried. What a waste.

Deftly, she pushed the opened barrel onto his fist, then sidled out of there.

I assume we both get wet, it is a full keg after all. Which means you leave a trail of ale footprints, no? Also, wrt concealement it should probably be a lower miss chance than 50% due to the ale, though what I don't know (35, 40%?).

Gurgun's sharp senses detect the moving monk, while his lightning reflexes make him easily avoid the keg Ayesha tries pushing onto him. He gropes around in the corner of the room, but fails to grab the woman.

Having ale running down her legs wasn't the place she usually liked to put it, but she was glad she'd removed her pants earlier. Now... Now... Now what do I do?

The hobgoblin was getting a better idea where she was. Maybe she should go for a run to loosen the ale. She began scurrying for the door.
