Re: Adamar vs Tristram in the Athenaem

Adamar appeared in his area of the arena and began to cast a spell. A slight glow enveloped his body then faded. The elf rotated his neck, a slight crunching noise as he loosened up. With a practiced speed Adamar suddenly had his bow in hand and an arrow knotched. With a wide smile the leather clad elf waited for the gong to begin.

Re: Adamar vs Tristram in the Athenaem

Seeing his adversary pull out a bow, Tristram decides to close the gap between them as fast as he can. His powerful and athletic body has no trouble carrying him over the low altar in a powerful leap. Now, let's see what big brother Venali can do!, he says while activating his magical anklets. The knight re-appears right next to the elven beguiler.

Re: Adamar vs Tristram in the Athenaem

OOC: So, what modifier would I use for tumble. "Difficult Terrain" isn't quite specific enough.

Re: Adamar vs Tristram in the Athenaem

OOC: DC15 just as usual. But movement in difficult terrain costs double which either limits the distance you can tumble (tumble at normal speed already costs double movement) or increases the DC (see SRD for Tumble at full speed DC).

Re: Adamar vs Tristram in the Athenaem

But note that you only need to tumble through threatened squares, and that difficult terrain only applies to squares in which you enter. So, for tumbling two squares away from Tristram it will cost you 30' of movement (and not 40'). 20' for the first square and 10' for the second since that is tumbling in to a square with normal terrain.

OOC: Just out of curiosity, what is your movement? I ask because even if you started at B9 it would be 70 feet to P09.

30' (x2, +10' teleport using the anklets). Knights are not slowed in medium armor at this level (and can even more their speed in heavy armor at higher levels).

Re: Adamar vs Tristram in the Athenaem

OOC:First off, sorry this has taken me so long.

Adamar smirked at the knight as he moved right up to him.
"Tricky, tricky. Wasn't aware you knightly types used such trickery." the elf said as he blinked out of site and reappeared behind Tristram. Once materialized the elf began a tumbling routine that took him a safe distance away. Once he stopped he pointed his hand at the knight and activated the magic in his supple black gloves sending two bolts of energy streaking into the man's back.
"Hazah! First blood is to me!" Adamar said with aflourish.

Re: Adamar vs Tristram in the Athenaem

Adamar began another tumbling routine but his foot clipped the alter nearby causing the elf to tumble but not to the effectiveness he was used to. The elf breathed a sigh of relief when he heard the chain whip past him as he tumbled away. When he landed he fired an arrow which was off due to his wobbly tumbling. He would have gotten the cane from his tumbling teacher Madam Francine.

Re: Adamar vs Tristram in the Athenaem

Tristram dodges the incoming arrow, and follows the retreating elf through the center of the glass library. His chain whirrs around before letting it tear into Adamars abdomen. You need to do better than this if you are to last!

Re: Adamar vs Tristram in the Athenaem

Adamar rolled with the wicked slash across his midsection and tumbled out of range once again in a series of back flips and cartwheels. Once set he easily drew an arrow and fired at Tristram. The arrow sailed through the air and hit true, lodging into his arm.
"I seem to be doing just fine, my friend." the elf said with his trademark smirk painted on his face.

Re: Adamar vs Tristram in the Athenaem

Changing tactics somewhat Tristram advances carefully, times his swing, and lets the end of the chain wrap itself around Adamar's ankle. Pulling hard he tries to make him fall prone. Looks like I have you cornered!
