Suddenly the warrior priest appears running out of the whirling mist, pointing towards Orophear he calls out to Haela asking her to manifest her weapon. Above Orophears head a greatsword, sheathed in flames, appear and promptly tries to strike him.

Orophear smiled when he saw the dwarf burst from the mist, wisps of the mist circling his opponent like ethereal fingers like his deity opening it's hand and releasing this warrior to deliver righteousness upon it's enemies. The smile faded when the flaming energy weapon blinked into existence next to the elf, which he narrowly dodged.
Orophear quickly uttered a spell as he raised his hand, a purple beam shooting from his outstretched finger striking the dwarf squarely in his chest. Once the spell fired the elf ran along the wall to the west.

"Perhaps I needed to stretch my legs after waiting for you for so long." the elf said with a smirk as he quickly launched into another spell. Orophear quickly launched two rays of pure fire at the dwarf,both hitting and blasting into the priest. After which the Duskblade takes a quick step to the side along the wall to watch the floating weapon that was dogging him.

OOC: Oh,you'll see! MUAAAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!! :P

Orophear moved after Gwendol, running invisibly right up to the dwarf. The Duskblade chanted softly as he reared back with his sword, the invisibility wearing off in time for Gwendol to see the long sword crackle with electrical energy. Orophear swung and hit the dwarf square, the sword biting into flesh with a loud BANG as the electricity released in a flash, fingers of lightning spreading over the full plate armor. A split second later Orophear uttered an arcane word, blood instantly running from his hand into the blade infusing it with magical energy which also burned into the dwarf.

Gwendol tries to bring his sword up to parry, but can't move fast enough to block the devastating attack. Luckily, his protective ward absorbs most of the electrical damage. Still, the damages he has sustained this far leaves him dangerously close to passing out completely. Taking a step back he calls on Haela's favours to immobilize the elf. Meanwhile, the large sword strikes out on its own against the elf, scoring another hit.

Orophear felt the magical energies wash over him, his joints and muscles freezing in place. The elf's went wide as the spiritual sword smashed into his motionless body. No novice to magical battle the Duskblade centered his mind and pushed through the spell, his body once again able to move.

Gwendol mutters as he sees the elf shake off the paralyzing effect of the spell almost in the instant it was cast. Trying to get something out of it he cures himself as best he can and lets the sword try and strike again before reatreating behind the nearest pillar.

Orophear gave chase after Gwendol. As he came around the pillar the elf threw out a bit of ash which ignited and flashed at the dwarf in the shape of a firey arrow.

Moving with surprising agility in his heavy armor, Gwendol is able to avoid a substantial amount of damage before launching himself at Orophear, determined to end this fight honorably. His spiritual weapon follows suit. Orcsbane crashes through Orophears defences and leaves him severly wounded, while the spell-weapon misses its strike.

Orophear decided the battle was at an end one way or another. With a gamble he once again channeled the lighting spell into his sword and blasted Gwendol with it, blood seeping from his hand into his blade once again to boost the damage potential. After the attack the elf looks as though he might fall over, his face quite pale.

The last attack is devastating. Even though his wards absorb most of the spell damage, the elf swings his sword with such force Gwendol is nearly split in two. Bleeding profusely he sways a little, before falling on his knees, then collapsing, Orcsbane still held in a firm grip.

OOC: Pew! That could have gone one way or the other! I really should know better than trying to out-nuke a duskblade... You do some serious damage man! Would you be up for a re-match?

Orophear also hit the floor, one knee bent,his breath labored. The elf says a quick salute to his opponent then stands shakily to salute the onlookers.

OOC:You have no idea. Orophear only had 1 hit point left after the 5 he took from his spell. Sure, we can either do are match or team up and fight a monster. I also have a handful of other characters if you have another that's looking for some exercise.

I might take you up on that offer later, but for now I'd like to have another go with Gwendol. I have so many new spells to try out and Orophear is a very good opponent for the dwarf (high BAB, high HP, lots of offensive spells).
