Orophear stood his ground, waiting. The elf decided it was time to shed a little light on his surroundings. Reaching inside himself the elf activated the power within that flowed within him causing four lantern like balls of energy to pop up around his head lighting the area a bit more.

How do you walk? Which path did you take? Once the demon is out of cover he can't hide.

Once you reach N07 you peak around the corner and see the demon hiding behind the shelf. You may want to adjust your actions and final position at this stage.

Somewhat surprised Orophear took a step north and launched into yet another spell firing off two fiery rays before remembering this creature was almost immune to fire.(Forgot this thing had such a high resistance to fire but rolled and kept it :/)

The demon follows suit, its skin boiling from the fiery rays, yet only some minor wounds end up visible. In its weakened state it cannot break through Orophears guard.

Orophear was growing tired with this fight. The elf pressed hard, his sword flashing out. The first strike hits true and the elf once again activates the spell that draws his life force and boosts the damage of his sword. The second strike glanced off of the creatures hide.

The demon screeches as the spell sucks its life force out. The spell attacks of the elf are starting to take its toll and the babau is now visibly hurt. What is worse, its attacks once more prove to be ineffective against the well-armored and fast-moving elf.

Orophear grew more confident the more damage he inflicted so he decided to continue his attack. Once again the Duskblade struck out with his sword scoring another hit. And once again Orophear channeled his magic into the blade but his eyes went wide as he felt the magic all but disappear as his sword sunk into the demon. A look of horror crossed his face as he saw his precious blade begin to once again disintegrate from the fetid slime that covered the body of the demon causing him to miss his second slash.

Seeing his beloved sword sizzle away sent the elf into another flurry of action. Missing his first strike the elf came in hard with his second, his sword once again hitting true and the only spell that seemed to be helping went off once again, the blood magic coursing through him, into his sword and discharging into the demon.

The demon is now bleeding heavily, and only its resistance to damage prevents its utter destruction. This time its first strike seems to catch the elf by surprise and tearing deep gashes into the flesh of the duskblade. His other attack flail ineffectively about though.

Things were looking quite dire for the Duskblade. The last hit he scored on the demon caused the corrosive slime to almost eat completely through his once fine sword. Blood flowed freely from the last wound he suffered at the claws of the creature and also flew from his mouth when he coughed. In a last ditch effort to put this foul creature down Orophear shuffled backwards as he muttered an incantation. At the end of the spell the Duskblade held out his hand and fired off two fiery rays of energy, both of which struck true.

With a wild, inhuman screech, pushing Orophear close to the border of insanity, the demon takes the fiery rays in the chest. Despite its resilience, the arcane power unleashed eats through the demons skin and into its organs. It twitches as it tumbles to the floor.

Fight over, and man was it a long slog! Well done Orophear!

When the demon falls to the ground Orophear slips to his knees, his corroded sword clanging to the ground sizzling from the acidic slime. As the restorative magics of the arena begins to teleport the Duskblade back to the training area the elf manages a slight, bloody smile.
