Adamar begins to move past the southern most opening in the center portion of the arena when he sees a blob of darkness and what he thinks is Levis. The elf, or better yet 6 Adamar's, smile in her direction and take off around the corner, the images merging and shuffling as he moves.

OOC: I'm assuming he would have noticed the large bit of Darkness that surrounds you while passing by the doorway. Oh, and after seeing you destroy Zar'Da in two matches the last thing the elf is going to do is stand still for you :P

Levis, you can't draw a 10' line and take a 5' step since that movement can only be done if you haven't taken any other movement that round.

The line was part of the movement. Imagine me putting my finger to the ground and just backing up. I just didn't know the correct action sequence.

Adamar moved through the center of the arena and south until he saw the cloud of darkness and the figure of the woman inside.
"Oh, naughty, naughty girl. What does that pretty red line do?" the elf says. It was time to move this along. The elf looked at the shadowy figure, pointed a finger at her and uttered a single word that carried with it agony.
"PAIN!"
And then he blinked out of sight again.

OOC: the spell is subject to the hit points of the person it effects. I assumed you had 50 hitpoints or less so you are unfotunetly effected my the highest possible amount.

I thought if you could draw a line from one square to another it was line of sight?

One other thing. Can beguilers cast PW: Pain? I was looking at the books and it's not listed as one of their available spells.

At 4th level they gain! Advanced Learning which allows them to learn a spell not from their lists. One of the DM's from here recommened it. I usually don't like to pull it out against anothoer player but Levis is just too damned scarry powerful with her one shot one kill spells.

Levis felt the waves of pain washing over her, and she knew her time was up. As mild mannered as she was, she felt angry. This elf's time needed to be up too. "I tried to be reasonable with you." was all she offered to the retreating elf, and immediately went into spellcasting.
