Gathering Interest - No Legacy Demon: The Fallen Game

In a city poisoned by disease and famine, crime is at an all time high. The rich grow richer, the corrupt grow more powerful and the rest of humanity suffers. Though you cannot explain why, you feel that something dark, malignant..yet strangely familiar is stirring. Ever since your brush with death, you have felt a growing sense of wrongness in the world around you. Everything is as it was, yet nothing is as you feel it should be.

Life isn't always what it seems. Sometimes, we see the world differently. Other times, we don't even notice the change that is there. The hidden, the obvious, they are all around us. But what happens when the fragile moorings of ones own mind cease to be reliable and you discover the truth about yourself? Do you seek redemption and a second chance at life or do you embrace your inner darkness and torment? Waking dreams, visions and nightmares of the past. Each will guide you on your journey, but it is up to you to decide which path you will walk..

Greetings Denizens of the World of Darkness. As the post title states, I am testing the waters for a DtF game I would like to run. This would be a mature rated game and possess both character and plot driven story elements. The game will take place in a undisclosed city somewhere on the East Coast of the United States of America. Those who are interested may voice opinions on where they would prefer, but I have been in the works of generating a fictional city for this game. Depending on feedback, I may be willing to move it elsewhere.

I envision the game to start out with subtle horror. The players begin the game with their mortal halves getting into their traumatic accidents/supposed deaths, yet they miraculously survive. Each PC will still think themselves as their mortal half, and during sporadic intervals, they will experience strange memories and emotions that they truly believe are not their own. Through these dark feelings of torment, regret and misery, each player will slowly rediscover just who/what they really are and will be forced to make drastic choices throughout the game.

This will be a journey that travels deeper and deeper into the world of darkness and the recesses of the character's own mind. The only question I have at the moment to ask all of you is...would you like to play in it?

Sounds promising!  I'm in no position to take on any games right now (curse yoooou bad WiFi!), but depending on when you'll be starting, I'd totally throw in with ya.

I'd say you should still be able to play if you stick with slow-paced games. You certainly seem to be online plenty from my perspective. ;)

Also, I'd be interested in playing in this game. It sounds like it would capture exactly the set of situations and themes I'd want to explore.

I just started my own Demon game, but I'd love to take a shot at being a player.

Lord Zephyr, when do you feel your net would be reliable enough to where you could play the game in good conscience? I would not be opposed to waiting until such time that you feel it is stable enough to dedicate to a new game.

As for the rest of you, do you have any questions or concerns about the game? Is there anything that you would like or dislike seeing in this game?

Re: Gathering Interest - No Legacy Demon: The Fallen Game

I'm no Lord.  I'm just Lost  ^-^

I get done with my internship August 3, and I'll be home the 4th.  I'll probably be online that night, heh.  There might be one or two days after that where I have issues (I live in a house at uni and they have issues turning internet on when I want), but the bulk of the problem will be past.

If you wanna get started, I'm cool with that.  I can jump in later.  If you wanted to wait, I'd probably die.  That'd just be too strange.  Someone wanting me that badly?  *blushing already*  Feel free to keep me posted via rMail, or my actual email.

Re: Gathering Interest - No Legacy Demon: The Fallen Game

Hmm, what an interesting typo on my part.

To be honest, I am in no hurry and could very well wait until August to start the game. However, I have three others to consider and cannot speak for them as to whether or not they would mind waiting that long..

I've no problem with waiting. I've plenty of things to keep me busy until then. ;)
