Chronicles (nWoD)?

This is another of those "gauging interest in..." threads, so if you feel that you do not wish to join any more nWoD games, you are now warned. ^^

Now, on to business. What I'm really doing here is gauging the interest in a chronicle for the new World of Darkness. Me and two of my friends, all of us fans of the new system (and of the old, although I myself have not played it), came up with the idea of running a game here on RPoL. We've already run a few other, rather successful games (if I may brag) on other sites, as well as with some friends, but never on this particular site.

The idea was for a game to take place in a large, metropolitan area (we're thinking about stuff like Paris, L.A. or N.Y.).

We consider making it a crossover game. Taken together, we have almost all the books available so far, although not Changeling yet. The idea was to include any race that there was an interest in playing. While the setup remains the same, exactly what happens varies depending on what type of players join. Should there be no werevolves, there will still be such a society, but it will fade into the background and only be important when other characters for some reason would clash with those.

A lot of things are still undecided, and this is really just an idea we had. We'd just like to know if anyone's interested in a game like this.

Re: Chronicles (nWoD)?

I'm interested. I have only played VtR though. Would that be to my disadvantage?

Re: Chronicles (nWoD)?

Glad to hear some people are interested. I'm another of the would-be-GM's.

Having only VtR is not really a disadvantage. While it is of course good to have as many books as possible, no one is really assumed to have more than the core book (and the core book for whatever supernatural type you wish to play, unless you're in for a mortal adventure).

Of course, not having many of the books also adds to mystery, which can be a good thing.

Re: Chronicles (nWoD)?

I've played in a PBEM like that. It worked quite nicely, with a lot of plots going on for the different Supernaturals and lots of crossover opportunities.

I'd be interested in playing...

Re: Chronicles (nWoD)?

I'm glad to see that there is some interest in such a game. As a test, we're going to set up the game and see how many joins. Either way, we probably won't start right away, since we want to talk through the main plot lines and decide all the various stuff.

Cheerio!

Re: Chronicles (nWoD)?

Actually, I was thinking of posting a regular ad in the Players Wanted as soon as I finish the RTJ, but I could of course insert a link as well.
