Samuel nods and says, "That I will. Additionally with a short burst transmission like that, it isn't likely to be traced to a specific location. They will probably know someone is in a district, but not where within the district."

  Joe meanwhile just quietly follows along.  The majority of obvious questions and obvious answers having been able to take care of themselves just fine at the moment.  He considers asking if unexpected disaster focusing on getting to safety means ignoring the people he's supposed to be working with, but then figures he doesn't want to deal with the obvious replies that while giving him info in a roundabout manner, would be too much on the righteous whiny side from all involved.

  Theres enough of that going on as is without him adding more... Well, for the moment anyways.

  Mittens nods and goes quiet.  She then occupies herself with silent prayer, her face hardened into an expression of determination.

Crucible sees Mittens with a serious face as akin to someone trying not to laugh. Or just another sign that this cat's crazy. Why did she suddenly get serious? Is she one of those crazies that will smile and laugh while they punch you in the face and then suddenly frown and tell you how much you disgust them? He considers that maybe... just maybe... it's sinking in that this mission is more than a joke. But he decides it best to reserve judgement until the mission is over.

Katy says, "Good. Alright. Now let's disguss synchronizations. According to Samuel, calling on the radio is dangerous and only to be used for aborting the mission. I don't doubt it. So let's do what we were going to do anyway before radio was an option. When we get to the scrapyard, we synchronize watches. Me and Joe continue on our way while Samuel and Crucible continue to the backup generator. Again... try to make it look like it wasn't sabotaged on purpose. As soon as our watches show 10 minutes from the time synchronized, me and Joe will set off the explosives for the main generator. When the watches hit 10 minutes and 4 seconds exactly, Samuel and Crucible deal with the backup generator. It's just enough time between generators to make it seem more like a coincidence than a synchronized attack, but yet also just short enough that they will think they can use backup energy only to fail. When the watches show 17 minutes, we will all meet at the scrapyard where Valin and Mittens will have already had 17 minutes to quietly salvage parts." She turns to Samuel. "If you have a list of the parts *you* need, you should hand it over to Valin when we get there."

Benji nods to Michael and agrees to come along. He actually seems a touch happy about it. "I don't get to work with you often on missions. And this one sounds somewhat relaxing. Just sit and watch. Well... relaxing as long as the plan goes OK. But I don't see why it won't."

Samuel nods to Katy and says, "I have a computer printout of the salvage components I need. I'll hand it to Valin once we get to the scrapyard." Samuel doesn't comment that the list stats what items are needed, and then explains the most likely form in which the item can be found in the scrapyard, and hopes that the gorilla won't stop to think why sizable quantities of rusted metals are on the list since Samuel doesn't want to explain that it's the metal oxides are a key component in some of the compounds he works with, and the easiest way to get them is off rusted metal items. As that is probably the strangest item on the list.

Michael nods as the two move along the trees as the chimpanzee says, "It's impossible to assume things will go well, given the number of uncertainties which have presented themselves."

Valin wonders what sort of items Samuel needs, but figures he'll find out when he sees the list so he doesn't bother to ask about it right now. The gorilla however hopes that the list doesn't contain items that he has no way of identifying, as that would make it hard to salvage something, when you don't know what your looking for.

(Skipping forward a bit)

A bit after they hit the point of silence, the group finally arrives at Middletown. Blipvert is not there, though the usual SWATbot security is.

Katy has already gone over what basic hand signals mean so that the AFF will be able to respond. She gathers with the others to synchronize their watches and then heads off with Joe towards the main generator which, as was suggested earlier, is outside of earshot from the scrapyard. In fact, it's about 4 blocks away.

Crucible heads off with Samuel to the building that is near the scrapyard since, according to Katy, that is the backup generator. Samuel had been given a copy of the map so that Samuel could pinpoint the generator quicker, so Crucible simpley follows Samuel. He looks over his shoulder at Mittens and Valin one more time as if he might never see them again... and then continues on his way.

Samuel hands over the list of salvage items he's after to Valin before the synchronizing of watches. Samuel's sensors also notice that there is increased periodic radio activity from the robots in Middletown that wasn't present before. However Samuel doesn't let on that he's aware of that, but he wonders if it is a countermeasure due to the stolen SWATBots... but he won't be able to find out without taking another SWATBot, or at least the head of a SWATBot, which isn't part of the mission plan, so it will wait for another day.

Samuel then heads off with Crucible towards the backup generator as Samuel is easily able to use his sensors to evade the robots in the area, especially with the increased radio traffic. Samuel does make sure to look like he's using his communications and diagnostic bracers to get the sensor information to keep up appearances in front of Crucible as the pair heads towards the backup generator.

Valin looks over the list and blinks at a few of the items on the list, since the gorilla has no clue what Samuel wants with rusted metal, preferably iron, among other things. However since each item is first explained as what the component is, and then as what is is likely to be found as, Valin doesn't think it will be too hard to find any item on the list.

Valin then goes around through the scrapyard with the Mittens as she is the only other person on salvage/scavenger duty so that the various items can be collected.

Valin can't help wonder what some of the stranger items are for, although more the more obvious ones like cabling and quantities of aluminum or steel make some sense as the gorilla thinks they are just raw materials with obvious uses.

Upon reaching the tree line, Michael takes out his binoculars and tries to keep tabs on the various members of the group, although since they have split up somewhat, Michael is glad that Benji is along since they can keep track of different people at the same time.

Michael is careful to not let light reflect off his binoculars as he doesn't want to tip anyone off to his presence.

Benji watches with the binoculars, wondering what this Samuel guy is capable of and why they have to watch from such a distance. But he's greatful since he would MUCH rather be here in a tree than out there in Middletown.

He also keeps his ears open in case someone wants to get close to the tree he and Mike are at. But he doubts he'll hear anything any sooner than Michael since his hearing isn't any better than Mike's.

  Mittens points up at the list in Valin's hand and points at herself to indicate she wants to look at it.  "May as well keep my eyes peeled for those parts," she thinks to herself, "Maybe I'll get lucky and actually be useful."  -.-  "Like I said earlier, Lord, gimme patience...  OOH!  And a replacement shield would be nice!"  ;)

Valin shows Mittens the list and also quietly explains the items that the Channelwood Freedom Fighters are looking for.

Throughout all this, Valin is keeping alert for any robot patrols, making sure that both he and Mittens take cover and remain silent when any patrol draws near.

Crucible is watching Samuel, no doubt. But he couldn't care less how Sam's equipment works as long is it doesn't involve betraying Aquarius. When they arrive at the backup generator, there is plenty of time left, meaning lots of time to figure out how exactly to sabotage the generator. 5 minutes remaining. Katy is probabley still on her way to the main generator.

Blipvert finally exits the upgrade station. He had requested an upgrade to allow himself to cancel out any sounds of his choosing. Thankfully, that is such child's play to Robotnik, that it was easily accessable specs from the database. Now upgraded with the ability to hear and not hear anything of his choosing, Blipvert is better equipped for taking on the new mystery neusance. He goes forth towards the scrapyard to follow up on what happened earlier. He doesn't realise he is going to bump into more freedom fighters, but he at least expects the old quote to be true "Just as a dog returns to his vomit, so does a man return to his sinful ways." ...in other words, he believes there is a 70% chance he will find the one who struck earlier. In this case, Samuel. But he still does not know the name or the face of the one who struck.

Upon reaching the backup generator Samuel immediately begins using his sensors passively to figure out the best way to disable the generator without any risk of revealing his presence. As before, Samuel uses his diagnostic bracer to not make Crucible wonder what he's doing. In fact Samuel is using both the sensors in his diagnostic bracer and his cybernetics to try and get the job done as fast as possible to leave as much time to implement the sabotage.

Crucible watches Samuel and looks at the generator. Then back at Samuel. "What are you doing?" he asks, since Samuel's incessant scanning is starting to make Crucible think Samuel is addicted to scanners like drugs.

Samuel softly replies, "Two things, learning the pattern the patrols are moving in, and finding where I need to check on the generator to sabotage it. We need to get ontop of it, so grab onto my back I'll get us where we need to go." Samuel kneels down to make it easier for Crucible to climb onto his back.

Samuel takes out his two grappling hooks and readies his boots to climb up a nearby support beam once Crucible has climbed onto his back. Samuel knows that the robot patrols don't look up unless something draws there attention. Thus Samuel exploits that to the best of his ability as he climbs up the support beam using it as cover from the patrolling robots.

Once Samuel reaches the ceiling, he then softly reminds Crucible to hold on as he then makes his way across the ceiling using his magnetic boots while he uses his hands to make sure Crucible has an easy time holding onto Samuel. Once they are over the backup generator, Samuel attaches one of his grappling hooks to the ceiling and then silently repels down onto the top of the backup generator, using pipes and tubing from the generator to act as cover as he descends with Crucible on his back.

Once the two are on top of the generator Samuel retracts his grappling hook. Samuel begins to work on sabotaging the generator by opening up a hatch, the location of which his passive sensor scans revealed due to the slightly different vibration of the hatch door from the rest of the generator due to how it is attached to the generator. Samuel knows that for the moment he and Crucible should be quite safe from detection due to the heat thrown off by the generator messing with thermal scans and the generator's bulk acting as cover.

  Joe spent part of the time wandering from safe point A to cause damage to point B through life threatening area... A and a half? How while they supposedly can't make use of chemistry class activities are able to deal with either intricate tiny gear works or the hassles of finding tiny little batteries, depending on what kind of watch you favor.

  The goal of their vandalism activities finally came into sight, Joe was expecting some generic disaster to occur sixty seconds before fireworks time to one of their groups.

  Well, the sooner they get this over with the sooner they get to flee like pansies to preserve their lives.

While Joe is probabley right about the idea of baddies ruining things 60 seconds before the kaboom time, he isn't alone in that particular thought. Katy indicates to Joe for him to use his grapple so they can get up to the top of the generator and then moves to hold onto him. While it's essential that the timing is exaclty as planned, nothing says they can't be right on the generator and thus, out of sight while waiting for the right moment. She watches as 3 minutes becomes 1 minute and then 20 seconds... and she sets the grenade as Samuel had showed her. Then heads off with Joe towards the scrapyard!

Crucible helps out where he can, mostly keeping an eye out for anything that might spot them... robian, SWATbot, Spybot... anything. But if Sam needs an extra pair of hands (Which is unlikely), Crucible also offers his aid there.
