Got a game?

Here is a place for any and all game advertisements.  Please do not reply to any here for any questions you may have about the game.  Ask any questions in the General discussion area or in the game proper.  Please provide a decent description and a link.

Thanks, and enjoy!

Re: Got a game?

So you decided to answer the call.

Thank God!

The ages-old struggle against evil rages on, but it is far from beaten. The world needs souls as brave and strong as you to fight the supernatural horrors stalking the night.

As a Ripper, you must protect the innocent world from the dark forces that threaten to destroy it. You will not be thanked, and none but us will know the sacrifices you make, but if you fail there is no hope for mankind. So read on… you have much to learn. What can I tell you of the horrors we face? I scarcely know where to begin.

Well, if anyone is interested in a one shot to help learn the rules a little better, head to this location.  I have at least a couple of players already that are new to the system, and need at least four more.  So, whether you are new to the system or an old hand, if you wish to play in a quick (relatively) one-shot game, come over and see if you can save Christmas!

Re: Got a game?

The world of Tarth is filled with dwarven strongholds, dark elven forests, valleys of merry half-folk, and scattered human cities.

But it wasn’t always so.

More than a thousand years ago, a race of savage spider-like creatures infested the land.  Legend says the spiders nearly wiped out the intelligent races.  This time of troubles is called “the Scourge.”  Fortunately, a great human heroine named Tarrian united the elves, dwarves, humans, and half-folk against them.  The alliance banded together and battled the arachnoids in the fields, in the valleys, and deep within their very lairs.  When the alliance was through, they hunted down any stragglers and eventually drove the entire species into total extinction.

After the Scourge, with no common enemy to fight, the races warred with one another.  At least three Great Race Wars have scarred the lands of Tarth.  The last was just over a decade ago.

Valusia, the middle kingdom, where our tale takes place, is currently at peace, however, both with the races and with its neighbors.  This peace has existed for the last dozen years, since the coming of King Crassus Kaden.

Overall, Tarth is a very typical fantasy world.  The settlements in enlightened and organized kingdoms such as Valusia do quite well, while those within the borders of tyrants, or too near savage creatures, must fend off constant dangers.

Your character is a young man or woman looking to become one of these heroes.

Your tale starts in the City of King's Port.

Do you dare take on the unknowns of the Evernight?

That's right.  A Deadlands game using the new Reloaded rules.  This is a One Sheet Adventure currently, just to get in a little more experience with the Deadlands setting (I'm trying to get my local table to give it a try.  So far, they are resisting.)  If the game goes smoothly enough, I might make use of the other One Sheets until they come out with the first Deadlands Plot Point book.

I'm only taking four players at the moment, with an option for two more if things continue.

See ya' there, pardner.

Re: Got a game?

link to "Scatterpoint Nights (SavW)"

I'm going to start up a Runepunk game, it'll start off small in order to get a feel for the setting but if everything goes well...

No prior knowledge of the setting is needed, nor is owning the book. You're more than welcome to make a character from your favorite Savage setting, with one small caveat. They recommend barring characters from NE but I'm not going to go that far, instead if you want to use a NE character that's fine but you can't pick up any new powers after character creation.

In case you don't know anything about the setting:

Runepunk is set in Scatterpoint  which is a massive city that is isolated in space and time. The city used to be the capital of a spacefaring empire, but after the calamity that knocked it out of it's universe everything started to unravel. The city is now ravaged by storms that leave portions of it barely habitable, while the civilized sections of the city are protected by towers that use the storms to provide power. Besides laying waste the storms also occasionally bring in unfortunates from other places and times.

The cities current level of technology is similar to that in Privateer Press' Iron Kingdoms. Sword and sorcery along side steam powered machines, although mystically powered cyborgs are common place.

Re: Got a game?

Am I crazy?  Probably, but I love Savage Worlds!

The boards groan and the ship skims along, her sails taut with the full wind. Ocean spray smashes rhythmically off the bow as she slices through wave after wave. She'’s a lean ship, fast and well-rigged; built for speed.

It’s been a tense four hours since the lookout first spied the French frigate. She sits low in the water, fat with whatever cargo and riches her captain hauls. She’s close enough now that a spyglass isn’t needed to keep her in sight.

The time has come. The crew waits expectantly, looking at the captain as the merchant is brought within cannon range.

“"McKracken, give her a warning shot, let’s see how smart this Frog is!”"

The captain’s booming voice hardly stops ringing before the first shot is away. A crack of thunder and a quick puff of smoke belch from the lead gun. The crew leans on the railing straining to see where the cannon ball lands.

A lonely white plume of water erupts just off the bow of the French vessel; McKracken has once again shot true. An uneasy silence settles across the ship as the captain studies the horizon for the Frenchman’s answer. Minutes painfully tick by as the captain patiently waits for the colors to be struck. Five long minutes and no change.

"“Mr. Paddington, come two points to starboard, close the gap between us. Gunners, take aim...”"

The captain’s face is like chiseled stone as always, but a brief flicker of regret, or maybe weariness, passes quickly. Most of the crew seem to share his thoughts, disappointed that today’s rewards will not come easy, though more than a few lips on the deck turn to twisted cruel smiles. This ship’s bounty will be paid in blood.

Privateer's Bounty! is a game of piracy using the Savage Worlds system.

Currently looking for four players to join in a game of high seas adventure in an alternate history set in the time of the Napoleonic Wars.  Players will be members of a English privateer vessel, and will help to shape the story.

This is a Savage Tale and as such will end at a predetermined time.

Use the following information for creating characters:
- Human character's only (we're not going that alternative)
- Character start halfway through seasoned rank, so 30 XP will help determine your character's skills and feats.
- No Arcane Backgrounds

If you wish to join, please bring a character and a sense of adventure to the following forum.

Re: Got a game?

Yeah.  I'm stupid and probably going overboard.  But what the hell!

The world didn’t go to hell overnight. It took a whole two months.

Saturday, July 2, 2005. Sometime around midnight, Eastern time, the recently-dead started coming back to life. We woke up Sunday morning, turned on our radios and TVs, went outside and picked up our newspapers, and learned that rotting corpses were wandering the streets, forcing their way into homes, attacking and eating people.

In the U.S., the president declared a national emergency. Local and state police joined forces with the Army, Marines, and National Guard, and for about a week, we held our own against the rising tide of the dead. But how do you defeat an enemy when your own casualties become his foot soldiers?

Maybe if we had been fighting a living enemy, a foreign invader, things would have gone differently. But facing our own dead, risen from the grave with no thought but to kill and devour us ... We panicked. First came the riots and looting, then the killing. Law enforcement and military units fell apart. People turned on each other like terrified animals, everyone trying to save his or her own skin. And every person killed by his or her neighbor became one of them.

You are the survivors. You found each other in the aftermath and banded together, pooling your skills and resources to increase your odds of staying alive just a little longer. You’ve holed up in the Baxter Building in downtown Manhattan, managed to secure it against the zombies and the roving gangs that have cropped up—even worse than the living dead, the living preying on the living, survivors killing and stealing from other survivors.

But you’ve only delayed the inevitable. The world doesn’t belong to you anymore. It belongs to the dead.

Welcome to Zombie Run, a zombie survival horror adventure for Savage Worlds.

Currently looking for four players to join in a game of zombie survival horror in the near future.

Use the following information for creating characters:
- Human characters
- Character start as novices
- No Arcane Backgrounds

If you wish to join, please bring a character and a sense of adventure to the following forum.

I am Legend (Savage Worlds)
"The only thing worse than being the only one left, is being one of five people left"

What happens when you wake up one day and the whole world is gone. Everyone is missing, no bodies no signs of death. Just emptiness and the fear of being alone all the while you feel the pit of your stomach drop every time you walk around the city. Eventually you manage to find others like yourself who are trying to survive this new world. Now feeling more secure you set out to find out what happened to the rest of the city. But something is hunting them...something dark lurks in the shadows of the city and it's hungry.

I am Legend is loosely based off the book and soon up coming movie by the same name. However the thing that lurks in the shadows is not vampires nor zombies but something sinister and dark.

This really sounds intriguing to me. I'm already signing up and hope others jump in to get this game underway.

Any other takers? Since it's a bit of a horror-based game, should we be sure to cover the stereotypical protagonist roles?

I'm currently pitching my character idea as a 17 year old skateboarder kid. A young man with a bit of a sharp tongue. So I've got the young smartass role filled. ;)

Re: Got a game?

Savage West

Savage West takes the normal old wild west and throws in a twist All your favorite fantasy races exist in this world. The tribal and spiritual Orcs, the Dwarven rail road workers, the exotic elves and even the might herds of minotaurs in the plains.

Saddle up and be all the classic wild west classes you've come to love. Be a tribal Orc shaman, human outlaw,  drake riding lone ranger, minotaur protector, Dwarven sheriff or even an Elven blades master. Your options are unlimited
in this gritty western fantasy setting.

Gather yer six shooter and set out in the wildest version of the wild west you've ever seen partner.

The Old Story goes...

Some damned fool of a dwarf went digging where he shouldn't have been, in Hellcreek Mountain. The greedy little bugger spent weeks looking for untold treasure. Well I hate to be the one to tell you but he found it. Coined the name “The Bloodstone”, biggest damn diamond I ever saw. The feller got his name in the paper and everything.

Everything was going fine up until Augustus Cole came along. News travels fast in the west and I guess this aristocrat probably got wind of something he liked the smell of. Well as it turns out he offered old Duncan (I know a Dwarf named Duncan, stupidest thing I ever heard too) a pile of money as tall as the sky. It doesn't take a gambler to realize he jumped at the opportunity to sell the stone.

Funny thing was I don't think he ever really knew what he was doing. Augustus had been a collector of all things wonderful and dangerous. They say the man was born with one hand in the devils pocket, if ya know what I mean and I think ya do. See Augustus had been looking for this particular stone the longest time any man could really stand. Now he had found what he was wantin' and it came right to him without him having to do a thing.

When Augustus finally got that damned stone working he awoke something dark inside the earth. Something that shouldn't never been woken. Some people say that day the earth opened up and demon's spewed forth. At about this same time the Orc's in the west started gathering strength and moved away from the white men. They also gathered these abominations called Ogre's on their side. Basically a bigger meaner Orc.

After awhile everyone was at each other's throats over not just gold but protection from the monsters that rose from Augustus's evil pact. And Now the world got ugly in a big damn way. We can only hope that someone can put a stop to Augustus and all the evil that bastard's spread through the lands.

Elves, dwarves, and humans pretty much exist were all the original colonies where formed. Elves tend to be exotic and use mysticism so they are more civilized than the orc's would be. Dwarves tend to be very hard workers and love mining in the west. All the other races are about profit, adventuring and just trying to survive.

does each civilized race have it's own country, or is it more mixed?

It's about as mixed as the old west you've come to love. While orc's are typically the savages they are accepted in some towns. Country follows most of the same pattern as the old wild west but I might get a map together if I get enough cow poke interested.

Request a game. I mind run a sci-fi game soon. I had it posted a while back called Starjacks. It is a game about fantasy races taking over earth. Humans raise up against these races in order to stop them from inslaving humanity.

Sort of like Starcraft type world. Big vechiles. Bigger monsters. Lots to explore.

That time has come a again...
After successfully getting my Savage West game off the ground I feel open to running another game without fear of it failing.

I am thinking SavageRun (Shadowrun clone...same concept..different game) or Wastelands (Generic in the of the world game).

Now the players are going to have to have a bit of faith in me as I have no material on either game other than a few notes I have scribbled here and there. But I can tell you SavageRun would have more of a world to it with more meaty parts, however I should warn you I've never ran or played the Shadowrun system so it would fully be my own sideline creation of the world.

As for the Wasteland game. I am a huge fan of Fallout. I think the story would follow something similar if not almost 90% close to what Fallout was created to be. Think bottle caps as currency, rad holes, government has taken over certain cities and the brotherhood is right around the corner trying to keep order.

Anyone interested?

Well, edbraindead, the GM for the first SK game seems to have returned. If that game starts up again, no, as the only reason I started it was to have an active SK game here on rpol. Plus, I would like to get to play something for once ^^;;

We'll see what happens.

A Savage New World
link to "(Savage Worlds) A Savage New World"

It’s a dangerous world, Septentrionalis seethes with conflict, as the strifes and plagues of vying Europan nations take root in fertile ground of the new world. Witches struggle against Puritan firebrands; royal agents play games of murder and deception for the glory of their monarch; and soldiers take to the field of battle where musketeers clash amid the roar of cannon and shot. Patriots stake their lives to overthrow the old order and establish a new freedom, unfettered by the evils of slavery and persecution. Scientifick philosophers compete to create clever inventions that could shape the course of the future, while wizards and sorcerers seek to preserve the arcane arts of the past. And in the deep forests, druids create standing stones and earthen mounds to focus the healing power of the land, and gather animal allies to defy the encroachment of civilization.

Septentrionalis is a campaign world set in an alternate version North America’s legendary past, in an age of frontier adventure, political intrigue, and supernatural horror. Inspired by history and infused with myth, it is a place where heroes fight for freedom, chart a vast wilderness, and battle unknown evils.

-----

Seeking brave, adventurous, independent and free-thinking souls...that's the call that came forth from Lord Jeferson and his adviser, the renowned philosopher Franklyn, describing the kind of people needed to join the newly formed Virginia Cavaliers. From the untamed and wild Native Sons, the original inhabitants of Septentrionalis, to the unexplainable supernatural that haunts these lands, and to the fierce settlers from Europa trying to tame this new world through force and political intrigue there are countless dangers lurking over the next hill and around the next bend in the road. As a related division to Jeferson's Army of Discovery, the Cavaliers are a free-form militia and protective force designed to roam the lands of Virginia and beyond, protecting the ideals of the Republic, defending and aiding its citizens from its adversaries and investigating the lands of Septentrionalis wherever travels shall take them.

You are one of the intrepid few that are riding out to various corners of the Republic of Virginia, ready to do whatever needs to be done. Saddle up, adventure is in the air and the unknown is just over the horizon.

-----

CINEMATIC INFLUENCES
Brotherhood of the Wolf
Last of the Mohicans
The Patriot

-----

I'll give a few weeks before the game gets started. That should give plenty of time for questions and character submissions and tweaking. I'm looking for 2 to 4 players to kick things off.

Lord of the Rings

Hey all, I've been running a LoTR campaign for about 3 months now, and it's going great. We are at a juncture in the adventure where it is a good time for a new PC.

The PC's are all at veteran rank, so you'd be starting at veteran. We are about to move into the next module, which is gonna be epic as hell.

Check out the game and see what you think. We are a very loose, laid-back group. Combat is also really free-form, with a kind of post-based initiative. I have the player's roll up their own characters and then post em.

Anyway, if you're interested, gimme a shout.

All:

I'm relatively new to the site, and to online roleplaying in general.  I'm not a novice roleplayer by any stretch of the imagination.  I've got 20+ years of face to face gaming experience.

I'm new to Savage Worlds, but I'm excited to try it out as a GM.  I especially like what looks like the fast playstyle and low prep time.

I'd like to run a solo(ish) game, probably playing an agent in James Bond's MI6 - potentially a newly minted 00.

Is there interest in this game?

Since I'm new to this discussion group, I'm not totally sure if this is the right area for this post.  If it's not, let me know, and I'll gladly move it.

Re: Savage RIFTS

So, I got no interest on James Bond.  Instead, I've taken up the challenge of running a Sundered Skies campaign.

link to another game

It's called (unoriginally enough) Sundered Skies [SavW] and is classified as a Fantasy game.

It's flagged for mature content.

Here's a quick advert for it:

The Lookfar sails in the shadows cast by the giant powers in the Glow filled Skies between the land.  Her captain and crew eke out a living on the margins, with a reputation as folk who will take on any job - especially those requiring discretion and, shall we say, lack of Trade Council attention.  They've been called mercenaries, smugglers, thieves and worse.  You're one of the crew.

The truth is, Captain Krellborn and his crew aren't heroes - but neither are they a wretched hive of scum and villainy.  Sure, they take on the occasional smuggling job, off the books courier work, and very rarely they do some stealing (but only from those that richly deserve it) - but mostly they are a collection of adventurers seeking success without oppression and freedom from the powerful Trade Council.

This is a Savage Worlds campaign set in the Sundered Skies setting.  Newbies to both the world and the system are welcome.  All characters are playing crewmembers of the ship the Lookfar - a sort of "gray market" collective that works together to seek fame, fortune, or other esoteric goals without the interference from the powerful Trade Council.

I'm hoping to achieve a post rate of 4 to 6 times per week.  I'm asking for folks to speak up when they'll have extended absences from the game.  You can expect me to be fair, and to keep the game moving along, and to keep you informed of my whereabouts.  You can expect me to respond to your posts, questions, etc. within 48 hours.

Ok, so far I have two for Solomon Kane and 1 for a modern horror or Solomon Kane?

With Solomon Kane, I wanted to do the plot point campaign.  With the horror one, it could be set up like the show Supernatural where everyone is hunters or introduced to the world of monster hunting.  Or it could be more like a one-time scenario where I put you all in some situation and we continue from there and see where it goes?  Like, your car breaks down in the middle of nowhere and as you're looking for shelter from the storm that's started, you see a large old house...

Hello All,

I'm a newcomer to rpol, but a long time Savage and (mostly) lurker at the PEG boards. I'm lurking to start up a Deadlands Reloaded campaign here. Something travel oriented, and fairly episodic with an overarching story that makes its presence felt here and there. Think Supernatural in the Weird West. I'v already got some interest from someone here after advertising in the Proposals forum, and once I get at least one other person interested, I'll get the game posted.

I guess ist simple that plotpoints doesnt really work with the slow pace of a onlinegame. A normal adventure could be half a year long, to playa whole plotpoint campaign you could play several years, without sidetreks. :-)

I try very hard to not invest to much planning in my Nekropolis game. I mean, on a table game I would know the next three evenings adventure. But on Rpol if have probably 3-4 month time before we get near the end of the current adventure.

How do you feel about running an NPC flunky?

I have some interest from another forum so, I should be able to get it going.
Especially since SW supports player NPCs. I like having just a few Players, as I have had the best luck keeping a game alive that way.

Yes

You don't think 1d3+1 mutations are enough for a mostly human?
The setting is not Gamma World, so being recognizably human has value.

Re: Got a game?

I've started up a Hellfrost game, but there are some caveats, as this is something of an experiment:
-) I want to run this in German.
-) It's taken place in a small Saxa village, so the "default" hero is a Saxa villager. If you're dead set on playing a wandering dwarven rune mage, this game is not for you. I might build in the odd character, if I'm presented with a strong reason and backstory how the character encded up in this particular village.
That doesn't mean that the heroes won't leave the village and roam the countryside - but it does mean there won't be month-long-expeditions to the court of the Anari mage-king.
-) As this is a village, the characters all know each other and might have responsibilities to the community. This may include having a family or being the only healer of the village or even being the Saxa noble who's in charge.
-) The game will probably start in September (or a few days prior to that). Right now, there are still characters made and I'm reading through the Hellfrost player's guide again, coming up with a basic story line.

Where's the experiment? Well, I've never run a game that's that focused on one location. So the village will require more detail to make it interesting. If it works out, the village might turn into a real community where players interact with each other without the need GM interference. If not, it'll fall flat and sizzle out after a few weeks. Sadly, too many games do. ;-)

Also I've played and run a couple of games in a single location with the party venturing out to keep evil at bay as it were, and they've all turned out quite well. This is cause the PCs start building connections with various towns people/groups, and the politics of the area become very important as the PCs grow in standing/power.

I have a few ideas for a savage world fantasy settings I'd like to run but I am curious who would be willing to join.

One would be a Battle Chasers sort of theme. Golems, magic, steampunk, guns, etc. with lots of fantasy. It would be a completely original setting but borrow ideas from other settings and games.

The next would be Earthdawn. I found my old books in the closet and I am thinking about completely redoing Earthdawn for Savage World rules.

Still not 100% sure on either of these settings. Throwing my ideas out to see if any stick with anyone?

I am pretty much stuck on Fantasy right now. I'd even go as far as running and Evernight or 50 Fathoms.

I think I finally figured out what I want to do. There was a game I created a while back called Savage Wars that featured player heroes as orks, ogres, goblins, kobalds, trolls and hobgoblins. That game was originally created with a generic system but it was a big hit when I ran it. Everyone really enjoyed the game idea and a few people wanted me to publish it. I think I might convert that setting to savage world rules.

It really was a twist and people got a kick out of playing races other than humans, elves and dwarves.

I thinking using a prefab system would be nice but overall I think creating my own would allow growth and give me a chance to run the game longer.

If there is any interest in the setting post it. I am going to start work on this setting regardless. But I can't wait to see how it turns out.

I am going to read the story and plot for the 50 Fathoms. I was thinking of making my own home brew but I am sure it's going to take some time before it's ready to run. If everyone is up for it I'll run a 50 Fathoms, I did like the story when I read it before I'll just need some time to start up an adventure. I have a couple for 7th Sea adventures that are unused that I could probably port over with a different I'll start working on that tonight.

Hellfrost: Winter's Dark Heart

A band of adventurers are on a fairly simple and easy task, get to the village of Dunroth to pick up some grain bound for the village of Dunross, a task that should be downright boring save for maybe an encounter with bandits while on the road. Of course all is not as it seems and after an orc ambush, finding mysterious dead bodies in one of the Road Warden's travel towers, they've arrived at Dunross to find the place overrun with a plague of rats. They haven't even reached the granaries yet!

If you wish to join them in completing their task, or perhaps figuring out what brought so many rats to such a small town, then come on over. We're looking for up to three new players. Party roles are fairly open to whatever 'class' you feel like playing.

This is something I'm working on.  It is ADULT rated.  The game is mostly oriented around court politics during the end of the reign of King John with the possibility of magical and supernatural things happening later on.  I'm going for a dark and gritty atmosphere with a splash of romance and heroism.

It isn't completed yet.  I still want to put up a family free and house information for King John.  However, if it sounds good to you feel free to RTJ and we can start getting characters rolling.

That sounds interesting. Your shooting for a pretty huge scope, though. I have seen many games trying this and then sadly fail.
I'll be up for it, though. Expect a RTJ soon. ;-)

Re: Got a game?

The main action of the game will be fairly focused.  I'm predicting that I'll only get a handful of players to be honest, and that would be fine.  I've been in games with close to twenty players that used this format and it can be a lot of fun, especially when everyone starts really developing their own plots.  Still, we shall see how things develop.

Re: Got a game?

Due to IRL issues causing me to reconsider the scope of the previous game, and not wanting to compromise it because of my suddenly more limited schedule, I've put the political idea on hold until the summer where I should have more time and energy.

In the meantime I have a much simpler and more focused game to offer.  If you want short Quests that can be completed quickly, in RPoL terms, and a slightly different game world to explore with a fun mix of classic RPG style and the flair of Saturday Morning Adventure Cartoons then come check this out.

Blades of the Heart!

It's the hot new thing flying off of the shelves!  A Massively Multiplayer Online Role Playing Game which boasts having all of the latest technology in virtual entertainment.  A player can feel like they are really a part of the action instead of sitting back and controlling a sprite.

A new line of Virtual Reality headgear has been designed just for this game, and it allows the player to control their character through their thoughts.    Called NerveGear this equipment intercepts the brains signals and allows a character to control their virtual self as if it was their own body while keeping the physical body perfectly safe and still.

Ever wanted to feel the thrill of leading the charge against your opponents with a sword in hand and a victorious cry upon your lips?

Ever wanted to 'feel' the grass between your toes and 'breathe' the fresh air of a strange fantastical world?

Ever wanted to really be the first person to see the ruins of a lost civilization or a hidden mystical grove?

Be one of the first 10,000 to play this revolutionary game!  Plug in your NerveGear and be ready for the Adventure of a Lifetime!

- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -

Inspired by Sword Art Online, and the many games which it was also inspired by, this game centers around a group of people who are among the first 10,000 players of a brand new MMORPG called Blades of the Heart.   Nothing is exactly what it seems, however, and a deadly secret is about to be revealed.  Soon these people, once strangers who would have only met as pixels on a screen, will find themselves in a very real struggle for their lives.

I'm looking for 3-4 more players willing to post once every 48 hours except on Fridays and Saturdays.

Savage 4400

link to another game

Based on the TV show.

In the pilot episode, a comet deposits a group of exactly 4400 people in the Cascade Range foothills near Mount Rainier, Washington. Each of the 4400 had disappeared at various times starting from 1946 in a beam of white light. None of the 4400 have aged from the time of their disappearance. Confused and disoriented, they remember nothing between the time of their disappearance and their return.

Some develop powers.  Later, others do.  Don't worry if you haven't seen the show, I'd actually prefer that slightly as I plan on reusing some of the plots.  But if you have, that's fine, just let me know.

It turns out that Savage Tekumel is not what was expected by one of the players.
If someone was interested in stepping into the sandals of Kumahl, please let me know.

The character stats can be reworked, as little detail has been established.
A new character is also possible if a magic user is not your preferred type but the setting interests you.

This is a savaging of a very very old setting.

Looking for one additional player for a moderately fast-paced game based on the AD&D Slavers series (and beyond into related modules).

Uses Savage Worlds Deluxe and the Fantasy Companion, though I'll accept material from other published PEG settings for character builds if you can justify it.

I have that, as well as a Savage Hyboria pdf I found online at some point in the past.  I actually created the game last November, as a place to work out some ideas before I actually launched it.  If there is interest, I can have it ready to play fairly quickly.

[SWD] Wasteland Wanderers

Centuries in the past, the ancient world fell to ruin. No one living now seems to know exactly how the world came to be the way it is today.

The land is covered in ancient ruins and wastelands. To the adventurous, there are valuables and lost technology to be found--and junk--lots of junk, but many dangers await those who travel in search of fortune. Roaming gangs of marauders, killer robots, mutated animals and plants, and entirely new species present an ever present danger--not to mention nature itself and the need for clean water, unspoiled food, shelter from the elements, and weapons to defend yourself with.

Sure, there are decent folk about though--and not all of them are human, but you never really know when you first meet someone. Some of those beings may be friendly--or merely pose as such to rob you blind when you aren’t looking. There are communities scattered about the land as well, but you don’t know if you’ll be welcomed--or attacked upon first sight. Even if they let you among them and mean you no harm, they might have strange rules, customs, or beliefs that you inadvertently break, or cause offense without even knowing what set them upon you.

So grab your weapons and supplies, keep your ears and eyes open, and keep your wits about you--and you might live long enough to grow old.

*****

I have a preference for female characters (but I don't care if the character's player is a boy or girl in real life), but male characters are acceptable. The main thing is that the character needs to interest me.

Rating: PG-13/"Lite" R

We'll be using the Savage Worlds Deluxe system.

I'm looking for 3-5 PCs.

If you're interested, additional details are in the 'OOC - Character Creation' thread:

Hi, (Throws his hat, apologeticaly, into the room)
Sadly my attempt a Thrilling Tales Curse of the Jade Monkey, came to a crashing halt. I will not try and offer excuses, merely apolgise to those members taking part.
I am considering resurecting the game and giving it another shot. If those who were involved in the first attempt are still interested, please let me know.

Re: Got a game?

We have room for one more player before the real action begins, as Wibbs has not rejoined, the character, Dr William Smythe-Worthington awaits a player.

Description
With a short, slightly stooped posture, William is an unassuming man at first
glance, but people tend to baulk at his appearance due to a hideous scar
covering the right side of his face from a burn injury he gained during the
Great War. He wears his hair short, and dresses smartly but not over formally.

Background
Educated at Eton then Cambridge, he comes from a privileged background, but
has been disowned by his family for not following in his fathers footsteps into
a legal profession.

Always fascinated by science and the natural world, he found his niche at
school and devoured anything to do with the subject. He progressed onto
university, where he was a standout student, and when the Great War came, his
contribution had more to do with his brain and inventions rather than any
actual fighting.

In fact, for him the time would have passed relatively incident free were it
not for the accident that left him physically scarred for life. His colleague,
Dr Fontaine was working on something to do with super-powered explosives or
some such, and one day one of his multitude of experiments went out of control,
setting fire to the laboratory. William managed to get most people out, but in
the process got trapped and still bears the burns the fire caused.

A number of years later, whilst carrying out his own private research, William's
expertise was sought by John Collins. Over time they built up a close working
relationship to the extent that one day, John revealed his identity as Doctor
Justice! William immediately identified with him and his never-ending goal.

Since then William has worked closely with him and answers his call
whenever it might come - 'Evil must fall!'

First come - first served.
