Re: Got a game?

I'm trying to restart my stalled game, Mystaran Misadventures. It's a Savaging of the Basic/Expert/etc. D&D setting. The heroes start out in Threshold, and follow the call to adventure. Wherever that leads. ;)

New players are welcome to join! Please join? :)

Re: Got a game?

I have that book. I've been avoiding the GM section like the plague, but it's hard.

I think it sounds really neat. (I am on a skyship kick at present).  I think it'd be cool to be a draken and grow all the way up to dragon. :)

unbalanced... probabaly, cool, definitely.

Anyone up for playing The Gentleman Caller? Here's the adventure 'blurb'

quote:
Introduction
Welcome to the Great Republic.
The Gentleman Caller is the first of a series of free adventures set in the world of Clockworks. This adventure is meant to be played over the course of one or two game sessions.

The Gentleman Caller is a steampunk horror/mystery adventure. Your heroes will travel from the heights of high society to the lost and forgotten depths of the city in search of a most unusual and dangerous killer.

The game is based in the Clockworks universe seen here -> http://shawntionary.com/clockworks/

Re: Got a game?

I have a few ideas for a savage world fantasy settings I'd like to run but I am curious who would be willing to join.

One would be a Battle Chasers sort of theme. Golems, magic, steampunk, guns, etc. with lots of fantasy. It would be a completely original setting but borrow ideas from other settings and games.

The next would be Earthdawn. I found my old books in the closet and I am thinking about completely redoing Earthdawn for Savage World rules.

Still not 100% sure on either of these settings. Throwing my ideas out to see if any stick with anyone?

I am pretty much stuck on Fantasy right now. I'd even go as far as running and Evernight or 50 Fathoms.

I'd be up for 50 Fathoms! I own the first book, but not the second. Also, I'm weak on the rules, but learning fast.

Re: Got a game?

I think I finally figured out what I want to do. There was a game I created a while back called Savage Wars that featured player heroes as orks, ogres, goblins, kobalds, trolls and hobgoblins. That game was originally created with a generic system but it was a big hit when I ran it. Everyone really enjoyed the game idea and a few people wanted me to publish it. I think I might convert that setting to savage world rules.

It really was a twist and people got a kick out of playing races other than humans, elves and dwarves.

I thinking using a prefab system would be nice but overall I think creating my own would allow growth and give me a chance to run the game longer.

If there is any interest in the setting post it. I am going to start work on this setting regardless. But I can't wait to see how it turns out.

I read the first few comics and loved it... it would definitely be a solid setting.

Only read the intro of the core book but always heard good things.

I'd LOVE to play Evernight, while I know its alittle bit of a railroad I think a PbP needs to be sometimes.

I'm up for most anything you want to put up... and your homebrew sounds very solid.

I think this sounds cool.  It'd be neat to play as any one of those races. Sounds like fun.
