Shosuro Kagehisa makes his way to his squad leaders outside the walls of Toshi Ranbo to assign missions.  Among those waiting for him is Bayushi Takashi, a duelist for the Clan of Secrets.

The visible half of Takashi's face betrays just the smallest of smiles as he regards Kagehisa.  The Scorpion bows calmly, crisply, to his superior, as he felt the beginnings of adrenaline flow through him.  If there was anyone who might be excited to do battle against the Lion, this man would be the person.

Kagehisa gives a friendly nod to Takashi as he limps around.

"Ah, you are the newcomer, Takashi-san? I look forward to work with you. Were you debriefed of what our unit is going to do or should i do it?"

Takashi's eye moves very briefly to the limp, but his expression remains the smile, even in the face of such apparent familiarity."This one has not been debriefed, no, Shosuro-sama."

The merchant points at his left foot after noticing Takashi's glance at it. He lifts up the cloth over it to show a wooden stump on the place the foot was supposed to be.

"This? An old injury after a farming accident. Quite humorous when in retrospect." he says, holding a chuckle before continuing.

"We are going to search and prepare ambushing places to trap the incoming Lion forces. The confusion and morale break will allow our allies to crush them into submission."

"This one feels it is his responsibility to inform you that this one may not be the best to bring along for an ambush.  You may find this one's abilities in remaming hidden to be... disappointingly lacking.  If you would accept this one's recommendation, he would ask to be placed with the normal forces, where his skills will be most useful to this cause."

It seemed that Takashi failed to find humor in it.  Or at least, if he did, his On kept him from showing it.

"I see. If so, would you care to do recon and perhaps being a decoy? We must bring them to where we are doing the ambushes so they can fall on them."

"This one will not argue with Shosuro-sama's wisdom."  A decoy?  Well, there were worse things to be.

OOC: so are both of you going to scout out good ambush spots?  or will it just be Takashi (I'm assuming you're going outside the city?)

OOC: Well, i was going to supervise if everyone is well-equiped and ready for entrench on the ambush spots.

OOC: Looks like just me.  Which I'm OK with.
