You find Daidoji Ryu standing on the battlements of the Inner City wall.  He is a large man, bald and tattooed like members of the Clan of his namesake.  His eyes glance briefly at you as you enter, and then return to looking over the City--his City.

"Daidoji-san, Daidoji-san, Kakita-san" he says, nodding is acknowledgement of your presence, "I am on duty.  To what do I owe the honor?"

With fingertips touching the fabric upon her thighs, Daidoji Tsukiko bowed.  The depth of the motion instantly transmitted her respect for the Taisa and for his rank.  Knowing that flowery language would not be appreciated by the military man, Tsukiko outlined the purpose for the visit as quickly as she could without losing the finesse of her speech.

Daidoji-sama, please excuse this intrusion.  I have brought Daidoji Sakura," a sweep of a hand, drew the Taisa's attention to the shugenja, "to you as she says there is important information she has discovered which must be discussed with you."

Sakura smiled inwardly; apparently the captain's idea of etiquette was the same as hers.

"It will only take a second" Sakura added with a bow, "But it must be delivered where only the three of us can hear."

"I will trust you to decide where that is."

Daidoji Ryu's eyes snap sharply towards Daidoji Sakura, as if seeing her clearly for the first time.  "Tokagero," he growls, "take all of those who do not wear the hawk to patrol the Outer District wall."

Despite his low volume, a man who is apparently Daidoji Tokagero answers, "Hai!  Aki!  Kuro!  Aoi!  Midori!  Follow me!"

"You may speak freely, Daidoji Skaura-san," Daidoji Ryu says grimly.

Watching out of the corner of her eye as the bushi left, Tsukiko felt a small amount of apprehension as she waited for Sakura to speak.
