Well, the MMD is finished thru level five, and level six is most of the way there.

So until I need a level seven, I'm finished with the MMD. I know I will eventually, but not yet.

Your DM has reached the grand total of 8100 posts. On no other forum anywhere have I come close to this total. Boy, do I talk a lot.  ;^)

I had over 18,000 posts on a Lord of the Rings forum I used to frequent, and I guess if you added up all my posts on all forums...

...it'd take you a long time. Some of them might even have been worthwhile.

There's a guy over on Dragonsfoot who's about to top 62,000 - 9 or 10 posts a day since he joined years ago. I joined a year after he did and I only have 1100 there. Before I surpassed that here, that was my post record - but then, I only go to a handful of D&D sites, and read a lot more than I post.

I have been posting my feelers out socially; how and where to contribute.  Dragonsfoot has always been a touchstone, but I did come to it much later.

A game called Europa 513 AD had 65,154. Sad day when it ended.

Jeff has deleted many threads in this game, so The Mines of Nemrac post count is nowhere near a true reflection of the total number of posts.  Just adding up the player and DM posts showing now under the cast list gives a total of 24,883.  If we took into account all the characters that have been and gone who knows how high it would push the total.

I know I deleted over 20,000 posts way back when. Hindsight....

Funny it’s usually players lamenting hindsight.

I prefer to think of it as Jeff's way to make newer characters feel more at home. ;^)

Are more established Characters allowed to set up home/shops?

A few folks have asked about a more permanent home, but honestly, inn life has been the life of the adventurers here so far.

Quite some time ago Hauraki did spend some time trying to buy an existing Inn or land on which to build an Inn.  He was repeatedily rebuffed.  I think it was in a sense of fairness to all by our DM.  Even the idea of a silent partner or a part share wasn't entertained.

I mean really, Hauraki wasn't going to form a conglomerate of inn's and jack up the price on everything, at least for a couple of years. :o)

Doubtless you'll start with Mediterranean and Baltic, then expand form there. ;)
