We got really lucky with our travel plans. We flew in on Tuesday, and there was freezing rain/drizzle all the way from Chicago to home (west-central Illinois). If we'd flew in on Wednesday we'd likely have been stranded in Chicago for a day or two due to icy roads/extreme cold.

And while we're enjoying the snow, and we're not quite missing the mild Busan winters yet, another week of this may do the trick!

Its a frigid 55 degrees in the morning here in Phoenix, AZ!

The Great Lakes act as a moderator for me, but even so it was about...(does conversion)...18F with wind chill approaching 0F overnight.  A little warmer during the day today, though more snow is on the way tonight and Monday.

Well the good news is it's not all doom and gloom.  I'm going to enjoy a high of 24º centegrade today which is 75.2º Fahrenheit to those of you who are that way inclined.  Hearing about your weather woes will help me appreciate it all the more.

I've gamed with him and talked with him a few times at the FLGS and various Lake Geneva Cons, but I don't think that counts - I gamed for a few years with Gary before his health went south, so I actually knew Gary better than I know Ernie. Ernie plays in a game a few miles from my house, but they're full and don't need more players now. I do most of my playing on RPOL now. I do hope to get to GaryCon in March again - I missed the last few due to work and finances.

Lucky dog. I didn't know Gary, but do know Ernie. Living in PA, too far for me to get to GaryCon too. :-(

Well, here just outside of Lake Geneva, WI, USA, they've cancelled school for the next two days not because of excess snow, but because of the extreme cold. Now my daughter has to stay home and play her new Kingdom Hearts III game for two days straight - what a pity.  :^D

About every three or four months I ask the new folks where they are in the world, and my veterans are always nice enough not to flame me because I do it again and again - though as the roster of players rotates, I still like to know who's where. You don't have to share if you don't want to. I'm at UTC -6, BTW.
