Konrad Bayer:
"Support, this is Sunray. Objective secure, attempting contact with church now. All ok. Whats you SITREP over?"
”Sunray this is Starlight. Acknowledged. No change to sitrep, over.” Anneka replied briefly to Konrads first radio message.
Konrad Bayer:
"Support, this is Sunray. Move to church. Put the GPMG in the doorway to cover north and south approaches to the bakery... Soleblume take charge of the civilians and wounded, get Adam to help you. We'll see about setting up the AGS after, meantime Sergeant Thompson can watch the front doors with Dawid. OK? Over."
”Sunray this is Starlight. Acknowledged. Out.”

Anneka is directed to a corner where a dozen wounded are gathered and begins the triage process, dealing with those whose wounds are serious but treatable first. Two of the wounded, one lung-shot and the other with an arterial bleed are not going to make it. The others, with a hodge-podge of various cuts, burns, broken bones, and puncture wounds, should survive and recover with the treatment means available.
Laying the RPK where she, or anyone else for that matter, could reach it quickly, Anneka began the heatbreaking task of assessing the wounded. Most could be saved, if with scarring, a limp or some other souvenir to show for it. Two though were beyond help. Maybe if she'd had a proper hospital, even a proper feild hospital like the one she'd been in command of just a few short months before. Sure they'd been short of almost every medical consumable - bandages, antibiotices, anesthetics - but at least they'd had most of their equipment still working...

All:
After about an hour after the last shot was fired in the village, you recognize the faint but unmistakeable sound of gunfire in the distance. At first, it's just the familiar crackle and pop of AKs. Then, the deeper, throaty roar of heavy machine guns joins the fracass. After about ten minutes, the sound of the firing tapers off and an uneasy silence descends once again.
"Hauptman Bayer! That sounds like it came from the river!" she cried in alarm. They'd left the tug virtually undefended and in exactly the same place the marauders had last seen it. She'd told them they should have moved it!
"Please send some of our soldiers to check. Or at least radio for a sitrep!"
She'd have done that herself if only the radio she'd been assigned had the range.
