Re: Chapter 1.1j In the Sewers (Marcus)
Having returned to the chamber where they split up, Marcus and Dove found it empty. Not wanting to go back, nor wanting to meet whatever it was that to the right, Marucs led them out the tunnel through which they had first entered this chamber.
Turning the corner, they soon passed the tunnel through which they had entered this tunnel, but they continued forward until they came to the next chamber. Marucs turned to the left and Dove followed. And soon they were back to the intersection where Marcus had decided to return to the chamber where they split up and start over.
And having only one direction in which to go, the duo jumped the gully, turning right, and soon came to a new chamber. And where the walls and ceiling of the other tunnels and chambers were in good repair, due to the ancient dwarven craftsmanship, in this chamber they were not. There were cracks everywhere and there was rubble on the walkway. It seemed as if the complex network of thick spider webs that filled most of the chamber was the only thing that kept the ceiling from collapsing.
Passing though the webs would difficult and slow, though there were narrow crawlways one that could be used to do so without struggling with the webs.
