Re: Anauroch: OOC Forum

Hi all,

I have been role-playing in dribs and drabs since I was a teenager over...lets say...18 years ago.  For the past couple of years I have been playing D&D IRL with a group my age or older.  We can only meet, on average, a couple of times a month, so I saw RP Online as an opportunity to get in more D&D!  I too am a computer game geek, particularly Magic: TG online.  However, I have two young children, a wonderful wife who accepts my geek-dom, and a house that seems like a hole in the ground you throw money into, so I try not to spend too much time obsessing over these things.

Anyway,  I have had a lot of fun so far coming up with things for my obnoxious character to say and do.  I look forward to gaming with all of you!

Re: Anauroch: OOC Forum

Greetings, long time player here as well.  I don't get any opportunities to RP in real life, if only because I could never manage to commit to a scheduled time to meet, so online play has been my primary d&d media.  Started out a few years ago with email and irc games, but have migrated to rpol.net web based as I think it is the better media for online games.

I'm 38, have a wife, a kid, a house, a minivan and a boat.  Pretty generic East Texas, though the wife is perhaps a bit geek'ier than I in her own way.

Re: Anauroch: OOC Forum

Hi Hi.  I have been playing since I was 16 and im now almost 33. :)  Im a disabled stay-at-home mother of 4 (13,6,5,2 - yes my hair is turning white)  Online gaming has pretty much been my sole source of gaming except for running solo adventures for my 13 year old who has recently gotten interested in D&D (thank god not boys yet). :)

We're three for five. Just waiting for the others to check in and we'll get started. Everyone has done a good job with character preparation and everything looks great.

Re: Anauroch: OOC Forum

Ok, we're all here. Alister please read over the maps and notices thread and get the rest of yourself set up. I'll be making the first adventure post this evening.

Thanks to everyone for introducing yourselves. I personally am 24 yrs old and began playing AD&D 2nd edition a little over 10 years ago. Man how the time flies. I'm married to a wonderfull woman and have a two year old son whom i miss far too much because I work so often.

I'm a business manager for a Lexus dealership, so I work usually 12 hrs a day 6 days a week. I try to get most of my posts in between 9am and 9pm, this will fluctuate with the amount of customers I see and meetings that are scheduled.

Please feel free at any time to PM me with questions or concerns. I work well with criticism, so feel free to throw it out there. Remember if you're not happy with the game then one of us is not doing something right. I'll make every attempt to ensure that you are having fun.

Re: Anauroch: OOC Forum

My answer to that would be yes. You should be able to apply your dodge feat while mounted. The only thing that causes you to loose the dodge bonus is something that would casue you to be flat footed. Mounted combat does not do this. Now if your mount is caught flat footed then the you would be considered flatfooted also. Keep that in mind.

Re: Anauroch: OOC Forum

NP, you can make that change. Atleast we know my ruling on that situation should it arise.

I appologize for being slow today. I spent a much needed day off with the family and will get a post in to update the game tonight

Re: Anauroch: OOC Forum

Again I wish to apologize for being so slow. I have begun training a new manager to replace the one I lost last week and find myself with even less time. However, I intend to keep this game going if I must get up in the middle of the night and post. I appreciate everyone's patience.

Re: Anauroch: OOC Forum

Well now that you have someone trained, you could resign and devote 100% of your time to RoA!  ;)  Really though, we all have real world things that must get done.  No need to apologize.  I mean, my job occasionally takes me on business to San Diego and Hawaii.  Tough, I know.

Orl did not mention leaving. He has not logged on since the 15th of april. Maybe the IRS hauled him away or something. He's been gone long enough to be placed on the inactive list, but I will keep him around and see if he returns.

Re: Anauroch: OOC Forum

Ok, I think I may have caused some confusion with the first combat post, I'll do a little clarifying here. For the 1st round the only pc's able to act were Selvaera and Glim, the others were not aware of the monsters presence untill they attacked. The actions that Alister and Vikko have posted so far will take place on their init during round 2.

I have glims action for round 1 but still need Selvaera. This evening I will be making the 2nd post and Will have Selvaera just defend herself if she has not posted and action by then.

Orl has not responded in about two weeks so I will NPC him through this combat.

Due to the confusion I will give Alister and Vikko the option of changing their actions once they see how round 1 wraps up.

hopefully I have not made the confusion worse.
