Standing by...but I don't think I'll need to change my first action, Aja and Alister need to see.  I don't think my little dagger is going to dent these things!

Re: Anauroch: OOC Forum

Just checking in to see how everyone is doing. Things seem to have slowed down a bit. I know life is hectic these days. If we had all the time in the world to play I'm sure we be sitting around a table together and laughing our heads off.

I was wondering if everyone is having fun. I hopw the slow down is not do to lost interest. If there is anything that you would like to see to improve the game just let me know.

Re: Anauroch: OOC Forum

Everything is fine with me.  During combat, however, I guess I feel constrained to posting only once a round since I can't really do anything else that's not on my turn.  That's not a beef, just an observation.  I think the setting and scenario are great, and at this point I don't have any complaints.

Thanks!

Re: Anauroch: OOC Forum

Yeah I know what you mean. Combat does slow things down a good bit. That I'm affraid is a side effect of PBP play.

Is everyone happy with the two day deadline on combat posts or do we feel that it should be one day. I'm affraid any longer than two would make things grind to a halt. This particular deadline was longer b/c I did give everyone weekends off.

Your thoughts on that also would be nice. Do you guys like the weekends off from posting or would you prefer to keep the game rolling all the time.

Re: Anauroch: OOC Forum

Personally, I am fine with every other day for combat.  In fact, I have no problem posting 7 days a week (I mean, I have young kids, I don't go anywhere! ;) ).  Weekends are actually easier for me.  If you want to up the pace of posting, I am all for it, but your current system is OK too, if everyone else wants to stick with that.

Cheers all!

Re: Anauroch: OOC Forum

Well, I prefer faster paced games.  I generally like once, or more if everyone has already posted, a day posting while in combat just to keep things moving.
I like this game so I'll deal with it if it doesn't speed up.

Re: Anauroch: OOC Forum

Afternoon everyone, I have good new and bad news today.

Good news is that combat will be progressing to the next round today asaigtafwtdi(as soon as I get time away from work to do it.)

Bad news is that we have lost Orl to the great unknown, no response to any pm's for over two weeks. He will be placed on the innactive list with option to return later.

Our dear Selvaera has informed me that she will be away for a while due to health concers. She will be returning in the future.

Orl will be replaced, I will try to keep Selva in as an NPC for as long as I can.

I have posted in the OOC forum for players to fill both spots.

New thing starting after this combat post. I'm going to try to go to a minimum of once a day on posts. If the games slows too much I'm affraid we'll start to loose interest. We'll try this for a while and if it does not work, we'll try something else.

Re: Anauroch: OOC Forum

Hi all,

The new face in the game is me.  A little background, been playing since the early 80s, mostly 1st and some 2nd edition rules.  For the last 8 years have not been able to play much.  Wife and two children, who are entering into those teenage years.  Been active in Boy Scouts for over 30 years, OK I may be the old guy in the group, over 45 but not at 50 yet.

So if Khazar reverts back to either 1st or 2nd edition rules just hit him in the head when he is not looking.

Looking forward to playing with all of you, at least I hope I can run with all of you. After reading the thread to date, you all set a pretty high standard of roleplay.  Darn singing Gnome, at least he is not an illusionist, I hope :)

Vikko, my favorite regular PC ever, was a gnome rogue/illusionist, he could only carry a tune if it is on paper and in a bucket.

Thanks.

Re: Anauroch: OOC Forum

Hi Khazar, and welcome!  Looks like you beat me in age by almost a decade!  You may be out of luck with that illusionist part though!  Was your gnome character's name really Vikko as well?  If so, what an astounding coincidence, since I just made up that name by altering one of the first names listed in the PG to Faerun.

Re: Anauroch: OOC Forum

Congrats everyone XP has been updated. Another two weeks like that and we'll have some level ups around here. Great job everyone.

And Vikko, I don't think his character was named Vikko, I think he was just getting your attention. However, if in fact his pc was named Vikko then it would be a major coincidence.

Re: Anauroch: OOC Forum

Hi all again,

My PC name was Keltar.  Don't look now, but there is a rogue/illusionist on the cast list by that name  :)

Well the oldest in age and youngest in mind.  Remember Mind over Matter.  If you don't mind, it doesn't matter. Words to live by.

Re: Anauroch: OOC Forum

Ok everyone, there is about to be some metagame engineering taking place. Orl has gone completely innactive and Selva's player is still out for illness. This part of the story will be the exit point for both of them. Selva will be returning when she is able to. Orl hasn't logged on in over a month so he'll have to find an open spot in one of the regions when and if he returns.

So I will be throwing out things to leave Selva and Orl behind and the rest of you will be continueing on.
