Re: Sweet dreams

Katka Valechzev:
Katka makes an effort to meet and greet each new ally with a handshake and a smile. "Katka Valechzev, hello."

She takes some interest in the new teams vehicals. "Are we leaving today?"

Tanya smiles to be polite when Katka comes and greets her.  She shakes her hand with the girl, "I'm Tanya.  Nice to meet you," is all she says to Katka

Sebastian Stoeckel:
Likewise, Sebastian presses the flesh with the "new" team, introducing himself to each, in turn.

"Sebastian Stoeckel,  pleased to meet you."

Sensing a somewhat dour mood within the encampment, Sebastian makes an ill-timed attempt at levity for those assembled.

"I suppose this is neither the time or place, but I've got a bottle of liquor and I would like to share a drink with you all and toast to the bad fortune of your sniper last night."
Tanya will walk up and take the bottle, "I could use a good belt of this stuff.  Here's to ya," she says taking a good swig of the liquor before passing it back to Sebastian.

Brown watches as the group returns acompanied by some unfamiliar faces. He joins up with them in the house. He acknowledges the introductions from the new faces. Katka's smile and handschake are anwered with a smile of his own. The same counts for Sebastian. Although he draws the line with the offer of a drink.

Brooks waits a bit for the initial introductions as he gives each of the new folks a visual medical assessment out of force of habit. While he waits he'll remove his helmet and hang it off a canteen on his rig. When he sees an opportunity he'll make eye contact with the first new fac and just offer a simple, "Doc Brooks." Not offering a hand but firmly shaking any that are offered. He holds up a simple hand as he passes on the bottle offered by Sebastian.

Brown, his own gear already stowed in the BTR, moves around the vehicles helping out with loading while the others bring their personal gear to the vehicles. If one of the new team members approaches the vehicles he will walk up to them to ask about the equipment they are carrying.making a quick inventory of the additional gear and secondly to make sure essential equipment was spread evenly across both vehicles.

Tanya nods to Finnegan, "Roger that Major, I'm on it right now."  Tanya moves off to collect up the booby traps she had set up the previous night in defense of their perimeter.  She goes cautiously to ensure that she doesn't set anything off prematurely and does it in a safe manner as possible.

With a smile, Sebastian replies,
"I'm afraid that's all. Luckilly for us both, hardly anyone took me up on my offer. There's plenty for later, whenever that might be."

Sebastian follows Katka over to the BTR. He waits as she addresses brown, then pipes in.

"All I have is the personal gear in my pack and this pioneer's demolition bag." He says, gently patting the satchel bag hanging across his shoulder.

"Which vehicle am I to ride in?"

Seeing sniper/guard duty isn't going to do it, nor is hiding from his (seeingly now) lucky shots yesterday he asks:  "So then, who wez got? Name, rank, position an how you might be able to help us, listing any skills ou supplies ya have we might find useful" he says, trying to remember all english lessons at once.

Seemed they had a full detachment of people once more. Stepping forward with this lot was to be no easier than leaving the others behind. Meanwhile his eyes drifted off as replies came, to the new medical officer and 'his' Michelle.

Sick Call...

Brooks stops whatever it is that he was doing and pulls his medical bag around in front of him. Unzipping the back and rumaging through it as he speaks, "We'll sir, I got some regular asprin. But if you want to sleep for a bit I also have some sedatives. Make yah feel real good but you won't be getting up for a while and when you do you'd be groggy for an hour or so."

Looking up at his new patient, he tilts his head. "You're not feeling dizzy or nauseous are you?"

Brooks glances at his bag as if to get a visual inventory, "I'm out of bandages, amazing the number of folks that loose their kits or use their own kits to treat people."

He pulls out a few things then replaces them in the bag, "I got a sterile surgical kit still and some atropine auto-injectors. As for meds; I have some Anesthetics, local and total; assortment of anti-biotics but I am running low of general; anti-fever meds."

Brooks dumps a couple of pills into his hand as he continues, "I am running low on pain-relievers and sedatives." Then turning to Don, "Here's a couple of asprin hopefully will make the ride a bit more bearable."

Re: Sick Call...

Cam checked over her weapon before taking it to her shoulder. There was another moment spared to make sure the goods were onboard, just another check to be certain nothing was left behind. She fully expected to travel along side the vehicle or ahead.  Some more long walks, or maybe hitch a ride on top, dependant upon how fast they could go.  A lot of the journey had been over uneven ground and weaving through craters and such,.. So Ashton was expecting more of the same.

“I need Doc look at, before go?..”, The chinstrap was loosened, so that she could expose the matted blond locks and the bandage beneath the helmet. She wasn’t sure if it was necessary, but … (providing it hasn't already been done of course)

After that, helmet back in place.. she would go wherever needed for the journey.

Re: Sick Call...

Marcus takes it upon himself to walk over to Cam.  As he stands over her petite self her does a quick assessment of her head wound.  A slight frown, of perhaps concern, on his face as he checks under the soiled bandage.  Unfortunately with their shortage of medical supplies all they could really do is re-use the current bandage in place.  As an after thought he reaches into one of his pouches removing a somewhat larger strip of cloth that he had salvaged earlier, one that was large enough to make a bandana out of to cover her head.  He checked for signs of infection before replacing the bandage and using the rag to cover her head and perhaps buffer it a bit against her helmet.  He never did much like wearing helmets, but he was glad she was wearing hers.  He worked quietly and of course allowed which ever doc came by to exam her to do their thing too.

(lil back-track)

The Danish woman, smiled faintly as the Sergeant approached, unconsciously her fingers curled a bit tighter about the helmet..  Nerves?,  though they relaxed somewhat as she came under the protection of his shadow.  Her head tilted lightly to help with the inspection, blue eyes averted with a slight flush.. Camilla’s brows arched slightly, biting her bottom lip, left to study the tracts of puddle strewn ground.

It was as if she didn’t want to make much of a fuss over the ache that lingered there.. Probably embarrassed. Or maybe she was just uncomfortable at being the tiny center of any attention for that time, if the bare hint of a blush was any indication.

Brooks glances over the shoulder of the Sergeant First Class as he takes a look at Cam's wound. "Should be ok, but I can suture it up if you want." Then looking as the Sergeant prepares a bandage and head wrap, "Probably can wait 'til we get somewhere and settle in."

Then straightening up he looks around as he adjusts the pack on his back, "Which vehicle do I get to ride in?"
